About 10mins from Termini station important to print map for easy arrival at your hotel especially in the night. Termini station is very big so it is quite a walking distance with baggages to your hotel. At the hotel buzz for attention and reception is on 2nd floor. There is a very narrow lift to transport your luggage and yourself...

I have stayed there over my euro trip. The location is very good to discover the city, termini station is just around 100 meters only as well as the collisium which is 15 minutes by walk. I would like to mention the receptionist (lady) unfortunately I forgot her name but she receive me when I arrived and showed such a...

This hotel has been perfect. It's easy to find, very close to Roma Termini train station. It's a secure hotel, using a buzzer to enter and exit and the reception is manned 24 hours. The location is great, you can use the metro to get around which is very cheap, and you can walk if you want to. There are...

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights after I returned from my cruise. Getting to Rome from Civitavecchia was easy and inexpensive. The hotel is not far from Termini station and close to most of the sights in Rome. The staff was very friendly and as I was a solo female traveler the staff mapped out the routes for...

We stayed in Hotel Galli for two nights. The location is superb as it is just across the road from the Rome Termini. Therefore it is ok for pulling the luggage from Termini to the hotel. Hotel Galli has a very tiny elevator that can fit only 1 person and a luggage. Well at least it has one! The staff...

The only asset to Hotel Galli is its proximity to Roma Termini Station and the city of Roma. We stayed at this accommodation for two nights and price-wise it is reasonable at €70. However, rooms either have street frontage and knowing Rome which is quickly becoming a city which never sleeps, the traffic noise is unbearable; back rooms provide you...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
