5 minutes walk from Termini station, which is very convenient to catch public transports to attractions. I was warmly welcome and very well looked after by the family who own this place. There is a market right below the apartment but to much of my surprise, I don't feel much of noise disturbance during my stay. It is even better...

My friend and I stayed with Stella for three nights. There were pros and cons with Stella's house. Most of them are listed in previous reviews. The room we had was large with a dining table and window that opened. It was clean but very noisy both inside and outside. the beds were adequate but not luxiourious. Stella is very...

We stayed only 2 nights and our feelings are a little bit mixed. BAD things: - little room (better say camera): a bed, a chair, a lamp. Nothing more. Old furniture, clothes left by previous visitors in a warddrobe. - no counterpane on the bed, only blankets: might result freezing in autumn - 2 bathrooms for 7 rooms, A long...

I am sorry to have to write this review, but I use this website frequently and it is information I would like to know about. Bed bugs. My husband and I stayed at Stella House for 3 nights and were generally satisfied with the accommodation. Breakfast is a joke - don't think that you'll be able to get away with...

Ah...Stella.... who owns this property is your typical, sweet, Italian lady. We would definately stay here again when we visit Rome. Stella's Place, and that is what it is, her own little home on a quiet street a little ways from the main attractions of Rome. For the value, it was great. There was 3 of us and we all...

I stayed at Stella's House for 3 nights with my girlfriend in may 2006. I paid 55€/night for the two of us. Wich is quiet cheap for Roma. The location of the hostel is 10 min walk from termini station. Quiet easy to find. (if you have a map) The district is popular, you can find restaurants (not too expansive),...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
