Great place for the price. Where I stayed was in a building a few steps from Termini. It's just a kitchen and three rooms. Breakfast is anytime and self serve. There's a kettle and espresso maker in the kitchen and some bread and cheese. In the room was some packaged croissants, biscuits and spreads. Room was comfortable and clean. Wifi...

Rather small room and old style but very clean. wifi was very good. breakfast rather poor. next to train station and metro which is good (although u do not need the metro much). u need to check in to a restaurant nearby which is quite confusing because of the street numbers. staff was friendly.

Very basic accomodation but was still an enjoyable stay. Rooms were very clean and serviced daily. The aircon wasn't working but they were very apologetic and supplied a fan for the room. Breakfast was very basic but plentiful and cold juice and water available at all times was nice. Would stay here again

This place was more like a hotel than a hostel except in a small apartment. You have to check in at a restaurant round the corner but it's very close and the hostel itself is well situated for access to the rest of Rome as it is very close to Termini station. The area around Termini is not the nicest...

Me and 2 friends spend 3 days and nights here and it was perfect. It is right in the center, the owner has a delicious restaurant just seconds away. The room was cheap, well kept, had croissants and fresh blood orange juice, and water each day. It is not a hotel, but it was perfect and very spacious for us...

I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. Considering the price we paid, it was unbeatable. Don't expect a hotel, or even a B&B because it's neither really. It's more like a flat in an old mansion-house type building (if you're English you'll know what I mean, I don't mean a MANSION, I mean a big old building). There's about...

We were initially booked at another location: Ines Downtown, but were upgraded to a room with an en suite bathroom, so ended up here. The host was great, very easygoing. You need to pay him in cash and meet him at his restaurant to check in, but the hotel is only across the street. They provide a few packaged things...

Just got back from staying three nights in Rome. Alex was really helpful..showed us to our room for four of us...we had our own bathroom and shared the kitchen ..which at first we thought was a bit weird but it was ideal to grab a quick bite, plenty of juice tea and coffee..then out. Room spotlessly cleaned and quiet. Would...

We had a ball staying here and were made to feel very special, we always take things at face value and some of these poor reviews are a bit over dramatic if you ask me. You get what you pay for in the room, it is basic but clean and to be honest your only ever in it to sleep!!,...

Owner was very nice, was a little apprehensive when we arrived in the area. It didn't look all that great. Room was okay. Bed was comfy. Felt a bit cramped but that's only a minor thing. When using the hairdryer provided we were only able to use it on the lowest setting. Anything more tripped out the electrics. Which got...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
