We are another one of the many overly satified clients of Hotel Golden! This Hotel far exceeds what could be put into words. It is family owned, and they are the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Marco, Giuseppe and their sister Maria Teresa could not be more helpful. They went above and beyond every opportunity they had....

There is not much to say about this hotel other than it is, PERFECT! I read a ton of reviews before booking here and couldn't believe what I was reading, but, we booked and hoped for the best. Well, we were beyond amazed. From the Marco to Giuseppe, to Alina and Theresa, we cannot say enough about the impeccable service...

Spent 2 nights there in early August and it was a great experience. The hotel is on the 2nd floor of a small building and the elevator is small as well. We had arranged transfer from the airport tot he hotel and it was there when we arrived and promptly took us to the hotel. We arrived well before check...

There is not much I can add to existing comments-most of them are true, from Marco's invaluable advice on what and how to do in Rome to the slightly strange procedure of having a family member escort you whenever you go up to the spacious and clean family suite (which isn't really a problem, because in some miracelous way they...

Stayed one night pre-cruise. Booked taxi transfer with the hotel. All worked like clockwork - well worth doing. Lovely welcome from all the family. Really nice clean and comfortable hotel. We were given a map and suggested 'walks' - this was really helpful in our planning and worked really well. Breakfast was exceptional and a real plus side of the...

From an initial "great to meet you" handshake to a series of hugs when we left this morning we had great experiences, interactions and service at the Hotel Golden. The family are outstanding and anticipated our needs as well as responded to our inquiries. From the complete breakfast in the morning to a friendly welcome each time we returned to...

We stayed at the Hotel Golden Roma for our anniversary trip to Rome in August 2014 and had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this family owned and run hotel where everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. Giuseppe and Marco are better than travel agents, especially for tips on the best restaurants and special historic sites. They can book tours...

My family and I stayed here twice in July; at the start and end of a two-base honeymoon of Rome and Sorrento. The Loria family who run this hotel are all very friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts are incredible. The hotel was all but full on our first visit, but our rooms were still very good. On our return...

This place is great. It is family-run and you can feel the warmness while staying there. You are greeted with a warm welcome and a brief recommendation on how to see the best parts of Rome. The warm breakfast served every morning is hard to forget. I had to ask for the receipe of the french toast after I came...

This family run hotel is lovely. It is located at the top if the via veneto. It is a nice walk to the sites and is located away from the crowds. They are very helpful with tour ideas and transportation. We would stay there again.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
