Like the other reviews have stated, this hotel is old, it's ugly, it's not modern, it might be rusty in places however the room was clean, breakfast was good, staff were very helpful and I slept like a baby. Go in with the right expectations and you will have a pleasant stay. The owner was quick and willing to help...

3 friends booked three single rooms in November. Excellent location a flat 300m walk to Spanish Steps and Spagna metro station and 400m from the Trevi fountain. This hotel is basic, the rooms were clean but all three had faults, door knob missing , no holder for shower etc. Rooms at the front can be noisy from the street below....

€45 per night for room with private bathroom in this location is super value. And that included €45 per night for a room with private bathroom in this location is super value. And that includes breakfast. But very badly stained walls and holes in the lino are a negative. Poor shower too. On the plus side, spotless sheets, nice towels,...

23 yr old Solo female traveling alone, felt safe at night. There are in the middle of remodeling, unfortunately I stayed on the 3rd floor which hasn't been upgraded yet. The shared bathrooms need a lot of work! Good value for money tho. The upgraded floors look nice and the breakfast room is nice! Good breakfast too! I would stay...

Hotel is in a really good location, only a few minutes away from the Spanish steps & Trevi fountain. The staff were friendly enough but the accommodation was poor & I was just glad we were only staying for one night. There was large dirty patches of black all over the walls in our room, the table & chairs on the balcony...

We stayed here in 2008 and the room itself was only okay. Mainly clean but we had balcony and it had a brilliant view, which is rare ina lot of Rome hotels. It was cheap enough for Rome standards. Would be ideal for couples on tight budget visiting Rome for few days

We made reservations, along with another couple, well in advance with a huge nationwide travel agency, but when we arrived Sunday, April29 we were told our reservations were cancelled. It was May Day weekend, and they had given our rooms to other people. We refused to leave the lobby, and they found a room with a shared bath for the...

Grotty, grubby, seedy, and kind of great in a single-residence-occupancy-circa 1930s kind of way. Our room on the top floor (with balcony) was very quiet, and the walls were sticky to the touch, and, in some parts, singed from fire. The bathroom is down the hall, and upon entering, you go back at least 70 years. There’s a lock on...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
