Hotel is located in a quiet area with a number of guests travelling for business. The staff was very helpful, and the breakfasts were excellent. We walked to a number of sites and took public transportation for the rest (subway and streetcar all very convenient). There are also a number of restaurants in the area if you want to eat...

Very nice and useful location at a walking distance from the very heart of "the Eternal City". Friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are decent even if the whole building needs a minor refurbishment.

Stayed here with my fiancè and his family in February. The hotel is beautiful and is awash with traditional, classical Roman features. Our room really was lovely and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It is made more homely with the resident cat who will pop and say hello if you are near. The staff are also very friendly and...

Very nice location. Staff very helpful but the building is a little bit tired. Nice style and clean enough but absolutely needs a refurbishment ASAP. The car park is very small (only 3 bays) but if you call them before they can eventually arrange another solution in a close 'sister-hotel'

Beautiful park setting on top of the Aventine. Surrounded by large turn of the century mansions serving as hotels, embassies and private residences. Beautiful well-kept rooms. Inn surrounded by amazing landscape property. Staff incredibly helpful, rooms impeccably clean and very comfortable beds. Big bath. Continental breakfast was fresh and generous. Small balconies, and tables in the gardens for a drink...

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
