The hotel is well located, walking distance from the Colosseum and the Vittoriano monument, nice and elegant environment, cleaned and very well decorated bedrooms, familiar atmosphere. The employees are very nice, kind and so helpful and friendly. Perfect stay, I will go back! I loved to spend my stay here! Congratulations!

One of the best hotels I've ever been too (and I've been to many!). It is small but it has a family air, the personnel were all (with no exceptions) too kind, to a degree that it made me wonder if they had mistaken me with someone else! Let me take it from the start: When we arrived, two couples,...

Summary: This is the third time we're stayed at the Aventino. Usually we stay with family in Rome but when that isn't possible, we go straight to the Aventino. We won't even consider anywhere else. It's an easy walk to the city center and to the subway. Want more details? Read on. Our previous stays were in 2010 and 2012...

We really enjoyed staying here. It was quiet and very comfortable. We didn't have breakfast while staying here, but the rooms were clean and well maintained. The courtyard was pretty and it was relaxing to sit outside. It was a short walk to the Colosseum, the metro train, restaurants and shops. We discovered the "keyhole" and a very nice public...

This hotel is in a lovely quiet part of the city but is close enough to the centre to walk in. It is also near bus, tram and metro stations. We had a standard room on the ground floor which was a little dark and musty at times but very clean. There was a little pressure to upgrade to a...

The bed and linens were fabulous. All of the staff were professional and kind. They went out of their way to offer suggestions and were very accommodating. We spend over 25percent of our time in hotels and this hotel is so good at making guests feel at home. If you have trouble with walking up hills and don't like taxis,...

The hotel was very clean, and pretty, and very quiet. Terrific water pressure in the shower. Bathroom was well stocked. Helpful staff. In room decor was charmingly overboard. Bed was enormous. Comfortable. Breakfast included a pretty standard variety of things. All in all, I was surprised it didn't cost twice what I was paying. If you're staying in Rome as...

I got my mum a trip to Rome for her birthday. I was looking for a presentable hotel, not too far away from city centre, with breakfast and easy commute to the airport and tourist attractions. Had my eye on this lovely, small hotel, and decided to give it a go. I did not regret a second of our stay...

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
