The Hotels in a very convenient location being very close to the Termini Station. The local areas a bit run down but we never felt unsafe. There's a number of restaurants nearby. We only ate in one called Angela's which was right next to the Hotel and was very good. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Ours was a...

Although the neighborhood looks a little bit rough (graffiti) we did not feel at all uncomfortable even when walking home in the middle of the night 01:00. The room was cleaned every day and very easy to make dark. The bathroom was big enough and clean. The staff was very friendly and always tried to get us to feel taken...

The hotel has friendly, helpful and caring staff which will make you overlook the small size of the room/bathrooms. The hotel is in an old building and has its own charm but it is not flashy. The hotel doesn't offer free wi-fi. There is no minibar and not all rooms don't have a fridge. Very clean and comfortable rooms, with...

We have just returned from 4 days in Rome staying in The Assisi Hotel. This hotel is a small family run business with about 18 short term rooms to rent and a number of long term residents in it. The rooms are small ( ours was 228) but adequate with a large double bed and two lockers. A double wardrobe...

The second long weekend we've stayed here when in Rome for the Six Nations Rugby. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable in an ideal location for the station (bus and train) and the central visitor sites. They serve an excellent continental breakfast in pleasant surroundings. The staff are extremely helpful. Rooms are simple but comfortable and adequate. There are plenty...

Satisfied the first time in January, we returned for a 5 night stay in November, finding the hotel friendly as before. Convenience walking from Termini was the driving factor, and the 4 pillowed comfort ready for us after long travels did not disappoint. Good bed, clean room and shower, and a satisfying continental with coffee in the morning. Elevator works...

Exactly two blocks from the Roma Termini station, its a decent hotel. Small hotel, small rooms but good staff and spoke good English. A small funny little elevator (max capacity of 2 people) speaks about how small the place is. Have good access to all the eateries around the place. Serves a very good breakfast free of cost.

My wife and me have been there from Oct.20 to Oct 28, in our last visit to Rome. I recommend effusively this charming hotel. The staff is of extreme kindness and of great willingness to propitiate you a delicious stay in this wonderful and mysterious city. For sure, I'll return.

Stayed for 7 nights, perfectly located. The staff are lovely and speak a good standard to English, which was lovely and unexpected. Bathrooms are small but that's not a issue, great room size with a ceiling fan. The tv we couldn't get into english, but you don't go to Roma to sit in a hotel. The wifi is only free...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
