Very welcoming hotel, especially Assif who was really lovely. The hotel itself needs redecoration as its rather tired, but is very clean with fresh towels everyday. The breakfast was excellent, with all you could wish for in a hearty breakfast. We stayed on the 4th floor and it was very quiet although the room did smell of smoke which was...

The double room with air conditioning and bathroom faced the street and was quiet as it was on an upper floor. The two windows gave a good view of the street below. A comforting feature was the fridge which was stocked with drinks at no extra cost. Our flight out of Rome was in the late evening, however we were...

We were greeted by the friendly and helpful Assif. I was a little shocked when we entered our room. It was clean but very tired and grubby looking, it was also very small. We had booked for 7 days so I was concerned. We headed down to Assif to see if there was another room available, there was, thank goodness....

Great location but terrible hotel, dark small rooms, awful bedding and grub bathroom. The breakfast was also very mediocre. On the whole, you would expect this from a very cheap youth hostel, not a three star hotel at 130 euros a night!!! Look for something else!!

Had an amazing experience at this hotel. Arrived early and room was ready for us. Location was beautiful right by the Spanish steps, metro and hop on/off bus a stones throw away. Couldn't fault the service As staff were friendly and helpful with booking trips. The breakfast was just lovely, fresh coffee and pastries were just filling. Wine each evening...

Low maintenance, crumby hotel. The only benefit is the location. There are other hotels in that area with much better value for money. recommend to skip.................................................................

Great little hotel within a few minutes walk of central Rome attractions such as Spanish Steps. This is an inexpensive hotel which is a good standard. Perfect for a weekend break and half the price of some of the international chains which are out of town.

Booked four nights in two rooms for our family of five. Hotel reception is friendly and location is great, but that's it! Our entire family ended up using only one bathroom to shower in because one of the tubs had a large crack in it that was filled with black mold and water poured onto the floor. The useable shower...

I stayed at La Fenice Hotel during my trip to Rome in September 2013 with my mother. The room was small, but very clean and well presented. It was perfect for our trip as we had no intention of spending time in our room other than sleeping, since we were always out and about! Breakfast was basic but a good...

We booked this hotel as it was fairly inexpensive and looked the ideal location to see all the sights we wanted to in the 4 days we had in Rome for our Honeymoon. We read all the reviews here and on expedia carefully and decided it was worth taking a chance and I guess we didn't have high expectations. It...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
