My wife and I were traveling in Italy for our honeymoon, with Rome being the last stop. We found the Belle Suite on the internet and booked it solely based upon a link on the internet. Although it was a little tight for the shuttle bus (one one of Rome's notoriously narrow lanes), we found the amenities and service to... More

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at the Bellesuite in Rome. We could not have asked for more. The staff were extremely friendly, the hotel was clean and the room was modern and luxurious (could be compared with many 5 star hotels). After long days of sight seeing and a nice meal, a... More

We booked this hotel only after reading the reviews, so thank you all for taking the time. I am actually typing this at the free Internet station at the hotel. The staff is curteous, well informed and met all our needs. Prior to getting to Rome, we visited Athens and Paris. This tied in terms of service with the Athens... More

We stayed at Bellesuite for three days in September and found it to be an exceptional place to stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the outset and throughout our stay. The hotel is situated on the third floor of a building right around the corner from the Metro station and within easy walking distance of Termini Train... More

This was a fabulous choice for our recent trip to Rome (Aug 16-22, 2005). The rooms were beautiful and modern, very nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. The staff was just wonderful and so very helpful in every way. I've read many reviews of hotels where the staff were less than helpful but with only 6-7 rooms here, you can't help... More

I came across this hotel by using this site, so to thank all those who wrote before me and to help others planning their trips, I decided to post here as well. My husband and I just returned from 4 days in Rome, and we stayed at the BelleSuite. We loved the hotel and can't wait to go back. It... More

My husband and I just returned from our trip to Italy, and I felt compelled to write Trip Advisor to let everyone know what an unbelievable experience we had at this hotel. Having traveled in Italy before, I expected not to be impressed – WAS I WRONG! The location was perfect – My husband and I are New Yorkers and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
