It's definitely worth a visit, but try and go early morning and avoid weekends as it gets very busy. Some great history here and the size of the buildings are outstanding. St. Peter's basilica is incredible.

Good place to visit in Rome,have to pay to go into museum and there are long queues but somewhere you have to see if in Rome,nice fountains and beautiful scenery,buses stop outside from surrounding areas

We took a guide which was expensive but worth it just to skip the queues. The guide was very knowledgeable and explained in detail about the Sistine chapel ceiling. It was all spectacular and we would not have missed it. However there are no limits...More
