The B&B is amazingly well located within easy walking distance of the Vatican and many of the major sights of Rome in a lovely old street, with plenty of handy transport links - couldn't ask for a more ideal base for seeing the city. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable and the breakfast is more than plenty....

Guido & Giulia are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. They are very knowledgeable about the local area and nothing was too much trouble. My wife is Coeliac and they went out of their way to provide a variety of gluten-free food. It was also her birthday and they bought her a celebratory bottle of fizz. The apartment...

We loved our stay at the Roma Borga 91. A beautiful breakfast was served each morning in our room. There were two private bedrooms, two baths, and a pull out sofa sleeper plus a kitchen. Owners - so helpful and extremely nice in every way. Helped us arrange rides to and from airport. They know everything about the city and...

We rented one bedroom from this 2 bedroom apartment. There wasn't an en suite bathroom but since the other room was not rented out it was great! Guido, the landlord, was very kind and generous. He taught us about the lovely city of Rome and we enjoyed our time here. The apt was clean, up to date, and the bed...

We loved this place. It was reasonably priced for the central location and could not have been better. It was beautifully decorated with traditional touches and modern fittings, stylish lighting and a great bathroom (good shower), and such comfortable beds. Breakfast was very generous and laid out each lunchtime for the next day, and we had a much appreciated Nespresso...

I stayed here for proximity to the Vatican, it is close, you come out of the building, turn left and its 2-3 blocks to the Vatican wall. Turn left at the wall and 2-3 blocks to St. Peter's. Turn the other way to Ottaviano train station. Trams also pass the square for unknown destinations. Of course there's lots of religious...

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
