I will not recommend to anyone, unless you are looking for the cheapest accommodation possible (which I was, at the time...) Booked through booking. It is not exactly a "hotel", it's a couple of flats in a building, put together and serving the purpose... Positive: REALLY cheap, as compared to other hotels downtown Great location, literally 1 min. from the...

The room was very old, dirty and the window looked to the kitchen of an indian restaurant. The smell was very strong and anoying. Moreover, when I arrived at the room the bedsheets were dirty. I asked them to bring me some clean ones, but the clean ones where also dirty. We stayed for 3 night and there was no...

I felt safe in the area it was close to the train station and several good restaurants and sites. The floor was gritty and the bathroom small. It was very dingy, my room overlooked a court yard which was nice, the smell of curry wafted into my room which was fine. But later the smell of an open fire came...

Well, this "hotel" is very basic but it's price reflects that. The staff were helpful the room ws clean but I can't recommend it for much else. The shared bathroom had a blocked sink which I had read about in reviews before I left but assumed it would have been fixed. There was no way we would have found it...

I have found a review of this place somewhere on internet saying: “no towels, disappointment”. I thought- at least I know that there is no towels so I will take some… I guess disappointment was not only referring to this fact. We stayed there 3 nights in a triple room. The hostel is on the first floor. It is actually...

It was very cheap, we paid about $10pp per night. I think it was a winter sale and probably is more expensive during summer. But we stayed about 5 nights: Everything was under construction and it seemed it is going to be a very nice place in the future since they are remodeling everything. ( lots of painting and remodalation...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
