if you can't stand anymore staying in hostels paying way to much for the service they offer, consider staying in this budget hotel. I stayed here with my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago (May 2004) and I was quite pleased with the room (very clean, nice bathroom, very spacious), and their service (excellent staff, very good breakfast, maps and...

if you are going to rome and have a low budget consider this hotel. good location (walking distance to the Termini railway station), low price, and all the essentials (private bathroom, tv, etc.). It is also clean and the staff is always friendly and helpfull. Oh, I almost forget to tell you they serve quite a good capuccino for breakfast!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
