We travelled around Italy for four weeks, and found that the San Pietrino was the best value for money. It is very close to St Peters/ Vatican City and metro stops. It was very quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff were especially friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to provide us with an enjoyable stay. There was...

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and thought it a great peaceful little hotel in the middle of bustling Rome. It is spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated and we found the staff to be extremely helpful. They were kind enough to return my handbag which I managed to leave behind. We would highly recommend this hotel. It is...

Hotel San Pietrino is a small hotel in a fantastic location only a couple of blocks from the Vatican. The room was a good size with bathroom included. The customer service from all the staff was great. This 2 star hotel is far better than some of the 4 star hotels that I have stayed in during my European travels....

We are very happy we stayed here. (around five days) We more than once mentioned how "really clean" it was (and felt). I loved the area (away from the epicenter of tourism...). It was nice to "come home" and share the walk from the metro with people who walked that path every day. Don' t forget to stop by the...

I have been in October in this hotel in Rome and my experience was very good. The hotel is really clean and staff that manage it has always been helpful and available. The hotel was full of tourists and it is not easy to find a room available. I will sure recommend to all my friends Enriquez

The hotel is about a 5-10 min walk from the Vatican and Ottaviano metro station. The hotel is actually situated a couple of floors up in an apartment building in a quieter residential area. The area seemed very safe and free of the pick pockets Rome is known for. It was a bit of a walk to find a lot...

The hotel is generally not bad and situated in the vicinity of Vatican (excellent for those having early morning excursions). However if you've had enough of Vatican it is not convenient at all since you need to reach metro (10-15 min.) plus some 3-4 stops (another 10-15 min) until you reach the center and main attractions. Generally, not a long...

As a family of 4 we were a little concerned about staying in a quad room but it was very spacious and extremely clean. As well as the restaurant across the road there was one a little way up the road (turn right as you walk out) that was very good value for money and friendly service- great local wine...

I stayed at Hotel San Pietrino for 4 nights in May. After a long flight to Rome, I admit that I was a bit disappointed by the hotel when I first arrived. I was placed in a room across the hall from the main hotel, which was a bit dark, not well lit, and a few holes in the wall...

Located a five-minute walk from the Metro and less than a quarter mile from St. Peter's and the Vatican, is the smallish, quiet hotel San Pietrino. This little place has a lot going for it, not the least of which is price and amenities that exceed the typical "budget category" hotel, like wi-fi'ed rooms. The rooms were pretty, but plain,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel is beautifully decorated with terracotta floors and tasteful wood furniture. The extras such as TV/DVD/ADSL - are unusual for a place in this category. Housed in a 19th-century palazzo, it's a simple and cosy place, run by young and service-oriented staff providing 24/7 full support to the guests. No breakfast is provided - no great loss as it's surrounded by convenient cafes and restaurants. Some guides consider it the best value for money in Rome. ... more   less

“Perhaps if you speak italian, you will like the hotel It was noisy at night, since the ac system must have been off for the season, so we had the windows opened. I know I seem like a complainer, as I read one bad review previous to our visit, but I feel that was the most honest. in the reviews that I read on your forum”
