The place is just a flat with loads of beds, security is non-existant, unclean and not looked after. No matter what you book online, you'll get chucked in a room with 6 or 7 other people. The bad thing is, is that it isn't exactly cheap, granted it's Rome, but still, pay 2 or 3 more Euros and i'm sure...

The hostel is quite small and has few rooms. I could share the room with my friends and this was good, even though there were 6 beds and there wasn't much space in it. Anyway, our room was quite clean when we got there and the breakfast is good, with lots of stuff. The guys of the reception are very nice...

The hostel is located in a fourth floor of a building close to Termini Station. This was the best point for us. I had booked an entire room for ten people, bath ensuite. When I arrived, there was a woman sleeping in our bedroom, the floor was dirty, beds had only one sheet, and the covers were stained and dirty....

Myself and six friends booked a six bed ensuite dorm with this hostel way back in january for a weekend in march. We rang the day before arriving to check everything was ok with the booking. The hostel confirmed it and said it was all perfect. So after travelling all the way from Ireland that day via bologna and florence...

This place managed to give away our private room on the night before Easter! I booked it weeks in advance, confirmed it the day before, and when we got there they pretended there was a double-booking problem but we could tell by the way they were talking that it's something they do quite often. The sleazy managers actually tried to...

I'm not a English speaker, but if you are an English speaker, I think you can enjoy your staying very much. They are friendly and kind. Staffs get the door and clean rooms. They taught me where to go, the histoly of Rome, and trying to help me as far as they can, though they pretend they are tipsy. So,...

Probably, one of the worst places around. We stayed for four (4) nights and they did not change the sheets, shower cabin is not clean, it does not drain the waste water, hot water tank is enough for only one person, second one should wait for 15 minutes for having shower. There is no towel in the room. And they...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
