This hotel was really lovely for me and a friend to stay in, with great connections to the metro and actually a really lovely walk via the coliseum into the centre of Rome. Staff were super accommodating, creating a really welcoming vibe and the breakfast was totally reasonable, a great way to start a day of exploring. What’s more, with it being on the further out from the centre, you get a really beautiful, green & luscious view.

Hotel was part of a 2night Groupon package to Rome bought as a gift ... we paid a little bit extra towards for this hotel . But can honestly say was lovely .. The staff are all very polite , we requested 2 more pillows on 2nd night as only 1 each provided ... & they were given with no problem ! Our room 304 overlooked a side road .. Room / bathroom etc all very clean ..fridge provided which we just used for water so can’t comment on the “ no food in room rule “ as was not mentioned to us .. . continental style breakfast is On roof terrace between 7am -10.30 am . self serve drinks machine , cereal, yogurts , bread rolls / jams ,,a selection of cold meats / cheese & Danish pastries .... yes the hotel is outside of Rome & does appear to be in a bit of a run down area but once we found Our way around we realised is ideal for getting around & found the Metro & bus into Rome to be very easy . ... a few nice restaurants around if you know where to look .. very nice newly opened vegetarian restaurant next to Carfour , worth a try even if you are not vegetarian .Ricc8s Steakhouse just around corner from hotel past tyre garage & a traditional family Trattoria 3mjns walk along front of hotel & take next left ... .. to get to hotel From Ciampino airport 520 bus outside arrivals to cincetta metro stop , metro to Furio Camilo ( ticket from information desk just inside airport .. 100 mins travel for 1.50 euros each . ) Hotel is approx 10 mins walk from Furio Camilo stop . Go straight past building with coloured snails on side . Keep walking nearly to end , turn right & down road to hotel ... To get into Rome we took the 628 bus from round corner of hotel & returns via metro as We found this easier . Travel is cheap , easy & can all be done for just a few euros each tickets purchased from local Tabacc store or metro stations . ..all insert found it good cheap way to see Rome in a few days , end of February & weather lovely warm & sunny ... fabulous time so no complaints 👍

We did a 3 city stay Venice Florence and Rome and this was the best hotel out of the 3. The staff were nice and helpful especially the older man on reception with glasses at night. The breakfast was quite good and on the roof terrace which was lovely. The room was really big we were on the ground floor. 15 min walk to the tram then about 15 mins on tram to get to Rome city centre. Would stay again

I was a little scepical after reading a couple of reviews on here, however, I was pleasantly surprised. I booked this 2 night break to Rome for myself and my partner and it's safe to say we had an AMAZING time from start to finish. The hotel was lovely. The location is gorgeous and over looks the delightful Italian country side - you really do get a taste of the true Italian culture by staying out of the city and away from the touristy areas. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Our room was cleaned once a day during our stay, and our towels & toiletries were replenished too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. When we arrived on our first day, the lady on reception let us access our room early which meant we could set off to the center and start our exploring! The WiFi was fast and reliable, and anything we needed such as extra pillows or an iron/ironing board was sorted for us straight away. We decided to pay 5 euros a day for the breakfast and we really enjoyed it. It was a continental breakfast including cereals, fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, pastries & jams, as well as a coffee machine that caters to all preferences. I would recommend the latte! Fruit juice was also supplied. This definitely set us up for the day and was 100% worth the 5 euros. On check out, the hotel looked after our bags for us whilst we went out to explore for the last few hours before our flight - this was no trouble and they brought our bags out for us when we returned. The hotel is a little bit out of the way, but we liked this. The metro was only a 10 minute walk up the main road and 1.50 euros for a journey was very cheap. I would avoid using taxis or uBers around there - they charge the earth for only a short distance. We paid 40 euros for the 10 minute journey from the airport to the hotel, mainly for the convenience as we were tired. But on returning to the airport to fly home, we worked out that there was a metro journey followed by a short bus ride that takes you right outside of the airport - so this saved us a lot of money! We could not fault our holiday and our stay at the Romoli Hotel. We would definitely recommend to our family & friends. Don't believe everything you read on these bad reviews. We loved it and I'm sure we'll be back when we organised our Italian road trip in a few years time. Grazie!!!

On arriving at the Romoli Hotel the member of staff was an older man who came across quite rude but the rest of the staff were lovely. We were told the ‘rules’ of our room, including we could not eat or drink in there or we would be fined €50, however there were no facilities to take food to to eat and not a good pick of local restaurants that didn’t require reservations before booking. The room was very clean but the toilet flush didn’t work, which was fixed as soon as we told staff. Tiny windows that let hardly Any light through and very uncomfortable beds made the stay quite unpleasant. Good enough if on a budget but would be very worth paying more to stay elsewhere. Only a 15 minute walk from nearest metro station and from then only a 15 min journey into the city centre, however walking back to the hotel in the dark feels very unsafe due to poor lighting, homeless people and just the overall vibe is sketchy. there’s a 24 hour supermarket near by however not much choice (and even if you do buy food you can’t eat in the hotel!). We were aware that some hotels in Italy charge tax on arrival however we were not charged on arrival so assumed this hotel didn’t, but we were charged tax at the end on leaving which was €24 for 2 of us so just be aware to have some euros left over for that, thought it was bad to not charge us this until the very end of the holiday but not sure if this is just generally how it works in Rome. Overall was not an absolutely awful stay but would not recommend, definitely worth looking into places near the centre as some aren’t much more expensive and feel like we missed out a bit.
