Elevator not very reliable (the kind you see in the 1920's movie). Operated on a first come first serve basis and shared with other hotels in the building. Faster to take the stairs. Good service for breakfast. All you can drink cappuccino for coffee lovers. There is no variety so it's best not to have inclusive breakfast. Terrible housekeeping service....

The Hotel Adventure is a rather small hotel. It occupies one floor of a building that houses 2 or 3 other hotels. You check in on the main floor and take the stairs or elevator up to the floor with all the rooms. (The fourth or fifth, I can't remember) The hotel is within walking distance of the train station,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
