For the first time in my life i will write something negative about a hotel. Actually everything was bad. They were absolutely not kind, they argue between each other, no hot water. Me and my girlfriend stayed there for 6 days and every day we had the same problems. We both work in a restaurant so we know how to...

Very expensive and insecure location. They tried to rob us. I think this hotel is worth about 60 a night. I wouldn't stay there again. No wifi in the rooms only in the lobby. Most hotels have wifi in the rooms. The staff of nice.

Wife and I booked two nights at champaign palace prior to an 11 night Celebrity cruise next May 2017. Our only interest is to go to an all day Pompeii exclusion the day before our cruise embarkation. The location close to the train station makes it very accessible to train schedules. Also location convenient to dinner choices. Hotel does look...

We stayed for 4 nights in September . Everything was good since the arrival..quick check in procedures, room comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit outdated but for the price, the strategic location and the magic Rome you can accept it ;)! Hotel position?no further than half hour walk to the major sites and close to...

Except for being close to Roma Termini & St Mary Maggorie Basilica, there is nothing worthwhile about this hotel. Internet is available only in the lobby. No tea/ coffee, they provide only the kettle? No glasses, nothing. No bell boys. Only 1 lift. Very limited choices in breakfast. No water is available in room. Only saving grace was hot water.?...

I stayed few times at the Champagne Palace and will come back for sure. Position is great for visiting the city, public transport via Termini station is 50 metres from the Hotel. Hotel is clean, staff very friendly. Good value for money for that category Riccardo

Visited here in August with my husband. The hotel is not a 4 star but our room was clean and reception staff on check in were very friendly. Breakfast was continental but not a great selection although I'm not a fan of pastries so I usually had a piece of fruit. The location of the hotel was great really near...

The hotel 'Champagne Palace' is billed as a 4 star hotel. It is anything but this... The decor is tired and there is damage to nearly every corner of the hotel. In our first room, the bed linens were frayed and the walls were cover in scuffs and damage. The duvet and pillows in both the rooms we had were...

Great for what we needed, we were out exploring every day so just needed a place to sleep and keep our stuff. A safe was provided in the hotel room. We got the breakfast included in our deal and it was fine. Decor a bit in need of repair but very old style grandeur. Wifi only worked in the reception...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
