Everything what people say here about the hotel is truth, BUT... This is a very cheap accommodation in Rome, ensuite room, including breakfast, within walking distance to Colloseum!!! Our room was ok, next to very noisy lift, but we were so tired after the whole day walking, that I didn't care. TV in the room, but you had to ask...

Arrived March 4th (booked double room for me and girlfriend) Not recommended (Spend that extra and get something a lot closer and higher quality) More of a hostel than a hotel, not worth it. PROS: 15 Minute walk from Termini Station. 7 Minute walk from Manzoni Metro (Links to Spanish Steps (Spagna), Trevi Fountain, Pantheon (Barberini), Vatican Museums, Saint Peter's...

The hotel was very basic, with no tea making facilities in the room and apart from breakfast was nothing else there. The area was rough and was full of grafitti and .it was a long walk to the terminal

We stayed for 3 nights Not exactly central as the name suggests. 20 minute walk to the central train station and 30 minutes to the colloseum. No free wi-fi, same breakfast every day & pretty basic rooms. On the final day there was no hot water on the 3rd floor... There was an especially rude hotel staff member. We got...

This was supposed to be a central hotel, it wasn't, it was a 20 minute walk to the metro, the colloseum was a 25 walk,it was located in a scruffy run down area, with graffiti all over the nearby walls. If you wanted the TV remote, you had to ask reception for it, if you wanted air con you had...

We expected worse after reading all these reviews, but the truth is that it wasn't so bad. The room was clean and nice, with terrace access so we could ventilate it. Also, they made our bed every day and changed the towels. Hotel is near the train station Termini, about a ten minute walk to the nearest Metro stop and...

It's ok for taking a shower and sleeping after a long walk in the city, but nothing more. The location is quite good if you want to walk in Rome, we didn't use any public transport and went even to the Vatican by foot. The staff was helpful. These are the only good things i can say about the hotel....

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 5 nights due to the low price giving us more money to spend on external activities, fantastic value for money however you pay by being in a very dirty part of the city, the air con stinks and to control it you need to go reception each time, it was more an upscale...

Dreaded going to this hotel after spending 3 nights in a lovely place in Sorrento. Having read the reviews I was so worried that it would not be a good place to take 37 14 year old kids. However... the building is a lovely old Italian one with a nice entrance and a large reception area. The rooms are ok...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
