We stayed at this hotel in June. While the location was great, the hotel nice, the air conditioning was turned off at night. When we inquired, we were told it was too expensive. I think when you book the room, you read air conditioning, you don't think not at night, when you are actually there.

Overall had a really nice stay at this hotel but was extremely disappointed to discover that the jacuzzi in our bathroom did not work and obviously had not worked for some time. It was a public holiday followed by a weekend and as we were due to leave on the Tues morning it soon became obvious that we were not...

We have just enjoyed three nights at the Ottocento. The exceptionally helpful and friendly staff did everything to make our stay comfortable. The pick-up car service from the airport was especially welcome (50 euros). We had a superior room facing the street - good sized room, well furnished, and exceptional bathroom. Everything provided - hairdryer, toiletries etc. etc. I particularly...

We stayed here for in Sep 2005 and we are going back in 2007 for our honeymoon because we loved it so much. It has an increadible location - walking distance to everything! We even walked to the Vatican. The hotel staff was increadibly helpful and the rooms where nicely decorated and very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ottocento. The hotel is centrally located to all the major sites in Rome. We had beautiful weather so we walked to all the sights -- Spanish Steps, Vatican, Coloseo, Pantheon and even walked back to it after having dinner in Travestere one night. If you have the time, I highly recommend dining in...

We stayed at this hotel in June 2006 and found it be very comfortable. The staff were very helpful & polite. The online booking was very good and we also took advantage of the hotel's offer to organise a car for us @ 50euros. The location is very convenient for the trevi fountain & the spanish steps. We ate in the...

My wife and I loved the Ottocento! The location is beyond ideal, its perfect. We found all of the major sites and areas an easy walk from this hotel. The staff were very attentive, efficient, and competent. We reserved our cab through the front desk and it arrived 1 minute early. We needed stamps at the last minute for some...

Travelling with a group of friends to Rome, this had come out the best bet on a website search. There is no doubt that the hotel is brilliantly situated, within walking distance from many of the sights. It is also smart and clean with a very enjoyable hydrotherapy bath in each room. But two of our party were allocated the...

This was such a great pick! We did a ton of research before our trip and this one seemed like it would be a good choice - and it was! We went very end of July/early August. It's right around the corner from the nearest metro stop and very close to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain area. We walked most...

My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. The location was outstanding. It was close to both the Barberini and Spagna Metro stops and an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain/Spanish Steps. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a junior suite which was immaculate. It was a large room that was remarkably clean. The breakfast was better than most hotels (even...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
