the location is good, the rooms were old, cold and dirty. one morning there was no warm water. even no wifi in the hotel. There was a kitchen next to our room which was very dirty, the door to the balcony was not closeable so that it was extremly cold inside.

I was robbed qdo. I left my bag at the front desk after check-out. One of the front pockets were cut with scalpel, leaving visible traces. The only good thing is the location. Everything is extremely small. Coffee is a Buteco outside the hotel (01 01 small croissant and coffee).

the location is the best thing you can say about the hotel. close to the metro station and in a nice quite area. the hotel itself should be avoided. in fact the hotel consists of few rooms located at the 4th floor of an old and scary building. the elevator starts at 1st floor and it is the slowest i...

I was more or less satisfied with my stay in Nazional rooms.Via Nazionale. Roma. The price was right, the location was ideal. Some things need attention to detail, although once mentioned they were put right. Breakfast is once again served in a nearby bar.

The location of this hotel is the big draw. Located in safe and relatively quite section of the city next to the National Parliament building, you are just a few minutes walk from the Parthenon. There are so many good places to eat near by, but we found that Angelito's was in a class of it's own and this was...

This hotel was a disaster to begin with. Once inside the room we find out that our double bed was just 2 single beds out together. It was very uncomfortable to sleep in. The rooms were very small and for the price of 250 euros a night, it was not worth it at all. The staff at the desk was...

The hotel is very central, perfectly located to visit all the attractions. Very close to the metro and the train station. The man in charge is very kind and helpfull. There is a very nice terrasse on the top where you can eat breakfast. The room was big, with ample storage space. The bed was very confortable. The older man checking us in was very friendly, explained the highlights of Rome on a map, in his best English/Italian/French. The location is very good for the price you pay, you almost can't be more central. The Colosseum is at 1,7 km, the Spanish Stairs at 1,1 km. The subway and the train station are even closer. Wifi is...

Stayed at the hotel for 3 days at beginning of trip and 1day at the end. Would not recommend this place. First, there was no elevator until the second floor so had to carry luggage up 2 flights.. Then the man in reception spoke no English. When I tried to confirm the last day, he couldn't help at all. I...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“We prepaid on the internet and asked for quiet rooms with views. All of us had a view of St. Peter's from the window. Loretta handled most of the coordination and we were happy with the care taken in the room selection. We were all on the same floor but my son's family has a baby and they had a perfect room for their situation; a kind of sitting room that allowed some separation from the crib provided by the hotel and their sleeping area.”
