5 nights stayed in older kitchen when we were in Rome. Convenience location(7 minutes walking distance to St. Peter, Vatican 3 minutes to Line A metro station and bus stops), this B&B sets in security locked residential building block, in 4th level with lift, it's safe, quiet, clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. Wonderful owner Simone has years of tourist...

Been there two years on the trot - the little place is ideal for getting to all the touristy bits of Rome. 5 minutes to St Peters square and less than 2 minutes from the tube station Nicole and Simone are brilliant - can't give them a higher praise. The Kitchen is value for money and spotless - the bedroom...

We spent 3 nights at this B&B and we were very happy with our room (good size and clean). Location is great with the Vatican at 5 min and buses/tube down the road. As previous reviews have mentioned Simone is a great host and gave us all the practical sightseeing information we needed. Breakfast is self service and simple. For...

Nice, basic B& B, very clean and in a great location for Vatican City. Self-service breakfast is brilliant and the owners are really lovely. Is a bit on the pricey side but given the location is to be expected.

Old Kitchen is a lovely B&B in Rome. The room was great, the self service breakfast was perfect, the location is very convenient (close to metro and almost everything is in walking distance) and.. the owners are so friendly and had so many tips for transportation/restaurants etcetera, it was like staying in the house of good friends! We will definitely...

My husband and I stayed here back in October 2013 and it was wonderful! Great service, beautiful location and pleasant owners. I forgot one of my favourite necklaces in the safe, they were kind enough to email me once they found it and mailed it back to Canada...I was so grateful for their honesty and huge hearts. Thanks again for...

I chose this B&B because of the great reviews and the good price. I was very pleased with everything. Simone is very careful and contacted me before we arrived to let me know the best ways to get to the B&B and when to be there to welcome us. The room is very confortable and the building is nice (the...

It is a gem in Rome, good location, comfortable and newly refurbished B&B. The cream of the cake is Simone, he is a excellent host, gave excellent suggestions on directions and sightseeing. He is so kind and wonderful, even helping with our luggage down to the metro station on our day of departure by train to Florence! thank you Simone...

Stayed at old kitchen for 4 nights. Simone was very helpful and met us at the b & b late at night to explain everything to us. The accommodation is clean, cosmopolitan and I feel more of a place for younger people to stay. We are not old but would enjoy more comfort and have the owners on site. Although...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

“I think one room has its own bathroom. I would recommend you check this out. It seems all rooms look out to the street so may all be noisy. There are double glazed windows to close if you don't mind using air conditioner.”
