This hotel is small, friendly, clean and set in a great location. our room was small and basic, very clean with a recently fitted new bathroom. The room was one of the higher floor rooms and subsequently let a good deal of daylight into the room, at street level the area remains mainly in the shade due to tall buildings...

I chose this hotel for the location and it did not disappoint. Great, very great location, friendly staff, right price and good breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Nice stay. I definitely recommend it. Rome is a wonderful dream. This hotel served its purpose as a clean place to sleep with in a great location. I have never been...

We stayed here in mid February. My husband and teenage son in one room my elderly disabled mother and I in another. The lift referred to in other reviews was no problem for us and very quaint. Rooms are spotlessly clean. It's a bit " shabby chic " in places but the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast...

We stayed here in April 2011 for 4 days of our honeymoon, the hotel itself is very clean and has friendly staff who are only too happy to help you with directions etc. The rooms are nice with very high ceilings and are kept clean everyday while you explore the many sights of Rome. Breakfast is defiantly continental with plenty...

Small hotel located on one of the main streets of Rome, When I first got to the hotel I was really worried first about the 3 flights of stairs to drag my suitcase up (there is a small old lift in the middle of the staicase but a bit scary looking) and then we were then greeted by a miserable...

We checked straight out on arrival. They must have spent a fortune photoshopping the pictures of the rooms for their web site as they are nothing like is in reality. We thought something was not right on arrival with a grubby unwelcoming entrance that didn't even appear to be a hotel. Dusty dried pampas grass hangs limply from pots in...

This hotel is located just off one of the main streets and was the perfect location for sightseeing. Turning left out of the hotel and down a couple of side streets takes you to the Trevi fountain. Left out of the hotel roughly the same distance are the Spanish steps. On arrival we found the hotel to be up 2...

We stayed here for 3 nights as the first leg of our Italian adventure, moving to Venice and Lake Garda afterwards. The location was great, very close to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. The place itself was rather unusual to us - on the second floor in an old building, with a very tiny and old lift to...

We stayed in the City hotel for 3 nights end of July and have no complaints. The location was fabulous and the staff friendly and attentive. The facilities were spotlessly clean and breakfast was lovely. We got a special 3 nights for the price of 2 deal through citalia which is worth checking out.

We arrived at the City Hotel in Rome on our Honeymoon to find that our tour operator made a mistake with our booking. Reception quickly rectified the error. The room we were given unfortunately was not to our liking and we managed to get it changed to a bigger, quieter and lighter room the next day without any problems. All...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
