We recently booked this hotel and had to cancel as my daughter was very ill and had the measles. We contacted the site we booked with and when the hotel was contacted they refused to cancel the booking. We were charged the full amount of the week. This is absolutely horrible considering the circumstances. I work in a hotel in...

This hotel is great because it is near the Vatican City, near the Underground station (cipro),near all transport means. Really an ideal candidate for your holiday. Forget the glamour inside. It is really dated, but ultimately I have found it clean and quiet. I was there for a school trip (I am a teacher), with us there were other 3...

Before I came to Rome, I had been to Venice and Florence. My stay there was great, and then we came down to Rome by bus. When we got here, we were pretty excited because the reception looked very nice. We were quite a big group, and we stayed in a lot of rooms, in smaller groups of three or...

We led a tour group that stayed here. One couple in our group said their room smelled and wasn't cleaned between nights. The desk staff was not helpful when we asked for assistance, saying they didn't speak English. The room felt old and bed mattress was thin.

Stayed there for 1 night, we liked their parking space, the breakfast was also great, a lot of choice, the staff was very nice too. Some updating of furniture would probably be welcome, especially the lounge area, but overall it was a nice stay and very close to Vatican and the metro station (5 min on foot). They also let...

We loved the little mid-sized hotel. Our room looked just like the picture above, very 1940's-like and I loved that. We were given a big old clunky key I loved, and it had an old, tiny elevator, all part of the charm. The bathroom was as big as the room with bidet and high on the wall toilet tank. Nice...

We chose this hotel because it was a quick walk to the Vatican and we had a 7am tour. It is also close to the metro, but there is not a lot of other 'tourist' shops/ restaurants close by, which was fine for us. This hotel is perfect for a budget traveler that wants something different from a chain hotel....

Thanks for accommodating our school and looking after us - the students really liked the hotel and food was excellent. Many thanks to your excellent team of staff. Thanks also for letting us watch the Wales v Belgium game in the hotel. Hope to see the Welsh flag outside your hotel when we next visit you! Diolch yn fawr /...

My single room was tiny, but clean, with good Wi-fi. The twin bed was fine, too. The breakfast was pretty uninspiring, serving up a pretty mediocre cup of cappuccino. Pastries should have been great, with good bakeries all over the place in Italy, but tasted like grocery store stuff. The location is good, with the Vatican in walking distance.

This was our 5th and final hotel of our trip. We hired 15 rooms for a school group and on returning the second night I was contacted by 3 separate rooms of students who had had their bags opened and gone through. One student had 90 euro taken from her purse. All of these rooms were on the 1st floor....
