I booked a room here thinking it would be a little more like a backpackers hostel, but I didn't get that vibe. I'm pretty easy going with hotels and have backpacked around the world, but ended up checking out of this place before my stay even began. The room and lobby were clean, and the man working front desk was...

Their was a party of five of us who stayed at the Foresteria Roma in July 2015. The rooms were immaculately clean and the service was good. We were staying during the hottest summer in Italy for some time and the lack of AC in the rooms made the say rather uncomfortable. We would certainly go back there again under...

I booked a last minute visit to Rome and came across this hotel as the price was very good and the location was close enough! After arriving on a Sunday the power had gone and the wifi wasn't working and I needed to ring home to let my family know I had landed safely, the lovely man behind the desk...

Foresteria Roma was a great choice for our group - a university study abroad art program. They accommodated our numbers and needs wonderfully, including letting us use a common room as a studio (thank you, again! that was especially helpful to us). The location was good, with plenty of restaurants nearby and a tram stop a block away (this allowed...

We stayed 4 nights at the Foresteria Rome and it met our needs exactly. In a good central location, close to multiple forms of public transport and even within walking distance of a few things if you don't mind a bit of a trek. Helpful staff and good, clean facilities.

We stayed only one night in Rome but this was an ideal location being close to the termini and transport to major sites. Staff were friendly and breakfast good. The rooms were clean and quiet. Loads of restaurants nearby too.

This place was fantastic. The staff made me feel very welcome and were very helpful in guiding me through Rome. It's close to a range of shops and is a short distance from the Colosseum. The staff is very friendly and helpful, The location is convenient, only 15 mins by foot from the central station, Termini. The breakfast is better than average, with cereal, toast and coffee. My room that actually was an apartment with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen, was quiet and clean. There is a 24 hour reception. I would recommend this hotel...

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
