We stayed at Hotel Giuliana for five nights. The hotel is conveniently located a half mile from the Termini Station. All the rooms including ours are located above a street market that sets up at 5 am every morning. We tried to sleep with the window open and the room was quiet until 5 when the vendors started setting up....

This is a small but comfortable hotel close to Termini train station and the metro. It is within walking distance to many locations. The staff were very friendly and helpful allowing us to leave our cases there after check out until our late afternoon departure. Breakfast was quite sufficient, no complaints. There are also restaurants nearby.Very economical hotel, even more so...

Great location! Very close to Termini station, perfect if you're coming from the Train or airport, or if you will be taking the bus or metro during your stay. Walking distance to Coliseum, Via Sacra, Capitoline Hill. Via Urbana and Via Cavour are both very lively with lots of restaurants/ shops/ gelato/ supermarkets for evening meals. We met two men...

My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for a week. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located from the central station. My only complaints would be the Internet doesn't work in the rooms and the breakfast is mediocre. All in all, it was worth the money we paid.

We wanted a hotel that was handy for the main rail station in Rome to connect with Fiumicino airport at the beginning and end of our visit. But we also wanted walkable distances from the main sights of Rome. Hotel Giuliana fits these requirements perfectly. It's also clean, comfortable, economical and well equipped. The owner and staff are very friendly...

A simple, family-run budget accommodation occupying the 2nd floor of an old stone building near the Esquilino Square, Hotel Giuliana afforded a comfortable stay in Rome for 2 nights. The location is very convenient – it’s 10 minutes’ walk to/from Termini, the Monti neighborhood is bustling with restaurants and cafes and the major sights of Rome can be accessed easily...

The hotel is in an excellent location. We had a double/twin room which faced the street. Room was clean and an adequate size. The only thing I did not like, was the very small bathroom, with a tiny shower recess. The managers on duty were all very helpful and friendly, and spoke English. The hotel has a nice atmosphere, quiet...

I recently had a change to stay at Hotel Giuliana and chose this accommodation due to online reviews. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Ashwin, who was very pleasant and accommodating. As I was about two hours early before check in, Ashwin let me leave my luggage at the reception while I toured the city. ROOM: while small, it was...

First of all I would like to say thank you to Jean, Ashwin, Antonio and the breakfast ladies (I do apologise , as I didn't manage to get the names ). The staff here are all lovely and really take their time to make you feel at home and comfortable . Breakfast was simple but filling with all the necessities...

Great option if you have to be near Termini for an early connection as it's a short walk. Super clean. Very good wifi. I had a single room which was comfy and a decent size with a small desk, hairdryer, toiletries. Good value for Rome and excellent location. Reception was very helpful and let me leave my luggage several hours...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
