We spent 8 nights at this hotel and enjoyed them all. Our room faced into an inner court which was not overly attractive but there was no noise at all which a real bonus after long days of sightseeing. The staff was friendly and very helpful - booking cabs, translating and confirming bookings, printing boarding passes, etc. The first night...

Stayed for three night from Good Friday through Easter with two rooms, a double and a junior suite. Staff was very responsive to all our needs and gave valuable help when needed. Included breakfast was the best of our European trip. The location was close the Metro and within walking distance to most attractions. The first night we walked to...

Stayed here for a short 3 night break with the wife. Lovely hotel - very clean, staff excellent, rooms spacious, breakfast lovely - really good variety. Location was fantastic - we walked to all of the major sites. Would happily recommend it to anyone - very reasonably priced for a major city like Rome. Small lifts were the only downside...

This hotel is absolutely wonderful!, charming and close to everything!! Our first trip to Rome for our 30th anniversary. We arranged for a car service from the airport through the hotel and were met by a wonderful driver, Alessandro, who took the time to drive us through the City and some special hidden spots like the "keyhole". He provided us...

Where do I even begin? I loved every single thing about this hotel. Our trip to Rome was my Christmas present to my family, and therefore I wanted to stay somewhere very nice. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The rooms are just beautifully decorated (doesn't look as nice on the pictures but was beautiful in person!) and...

Truly a great spot to stay when going to Rome. Staff are friendly, rooms and the rest of the hotel is neat and very pretty, the bar area is very comfy with tasty bar snacks during happy hour. The hotel is situated perfectly to walk to the major sites, or to use the metro station. We really enjoyed our stay...

Very near to all the main attractions and designer shops. Hotel staff could not of been more helpful, very good service. Rooms are small (we had a deluxe room) but you would be hard pushed to find a large room in Rome. The mini bar is cheaper for water than by the main sites! The buffet style Breakfast is great...

We had the most amazing stay at The River Palace and will definitely be going back. The staff went out of their way to accommodate your every whim and could not have been more pleasant. Giorgio in particular made us feel very welcome and is an amazing asset to the hotel- he is a fountain of knowledge so if you...

Our first trip to Rome and after a lot of research we landed on River Palace hotel as the standard and reviews were miles better than most other hotels. A week before arriving, we were asked to move to the sister hotel River Chateau. Looking back, this was no bother at all. In fact, the stay was perfect right from...

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
