Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean, great breakfast, lovely staff, fantastic bar & outside seating area. In the perfect location for site seeing but far enough away to still be quiet. Two fantastic restaurants less than a minute away. Highly recommend staying here.

A wonderful warm welcome awaited us when we arrived at this beautiful hotel. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The help we received started before we arrived when I contacted them by email a couple of weeks before to ask if they could arrange a dinner booking at a nearby restaurant this was done promptly. The room was very clean and well appointed an extremely comfortable bed and beautiful linens. The hotel is very well situated for sightseeing on foot or by public transport, the Metro less than 5 minutes away. The reception staff eager to help with any queries. The breakfast was excellent, plentiful good quality food. Finally we would like to mention Harald the barman, professional and friendly. Thank you to the hotel for a great stay. If back in Rome would definitely stay again and we highly recommend.

The room was quaint and small, requested 2 beds, and only received 1. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable- pillows flat. The view was good, but the room very hot since they do not have AC during this season. Location was good walking distance to Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps.

First and foremost I wanted to compliment Tatiyana who checked us in for our one-night stay. She could not have been more hospitable and informative in orienting us to the hotel. Our room for two, including the bathroom, was more spacious than other reviewers have mentioned. For one night the room was adequate. The reason for the four star review was due to the bed and pillows. While the linens looked high end, the mattress and pillows were not. I did not have the most comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast was well appointed with many options - including Prosecco! The location was near many attractions and we enjoyed strolling into the nearby park area to take a break from the busy touristy streets.

We arrived at the hotel and staff were amazing, our room however wasn’t ideal. It was small which was fine for two people, but the bed on one side felt like it had collapsed underneath as there was a huge groove on one side where the mattress had visibly dipped. The toilet seat was broken and air conditioning cannot be turned on by you in your room it has to be controlled at reception. We asked them for air conditioning to be turned on which they said they would do but it never happened. The front of the hotel was noisy which can’t be helped as just normal street noise. Breakfast was good and plenty of options. Bar area was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn’t stay here again due to the room and bad nights sleep we had. Location, however was perfect. We stayed in room 601.

You can read my review on the donna laura palace hotel and why we left and never received a refund. I was so upset our honneymoon was in pieces we walked past this hotel went in pleaded for assistance they couldn't do enough to help. They were horrified to hear our story. We had a choice of a standard room or a suite with a terrace as this hotel is constantly booked up. All hotels in rome are small so don't be surprised by a small room or suite it won't matter this hotel is a luxury oasis. Room and bed So the suite was smaller than most but perfect the other standard room had enough room for a bed and to walk around but don't be surprised by this in rome. Both rooms I saw were luxuriously tastefully decorated both beds were sooo comfortable the mattress was similar to mine at home which cost over 1500 UK pounds I suffer from sore hips. I have never slept so well. The pillows were so dense not the flat things you get elsewhere. I love the sheets it felt like pure cotton but it was beautiful. Bathroom Our was luxury in the suite full spa bath but the standard room we saw had a double shower both fine in rome. Our bathroom had a bidet which was a nice luxury as a woman. The spa bath with massage and lights was a treat for my husband and I. Terrace Lovely with chairs lounge soda a table wish we had stayed here for our entire stay TV netflix and casting options there were profiles entered so didn't have to log in Breakfast Lots of choices staff will make you an expresso or anything else if you don't like filter coffee we filled up our water bottles for the day and took a muffin for later on. Staff greet you and genuinely seem to like their jobs Reception Cannot thank the staff for their recommendations for dinner and help with booking airport or general taxi they cannot help enough we felt safe and felt all our needs were met. We appreciated the room discount given our prior hotel disaster. Bar outside area. Great bar and outside area. Would like them to open the breakfast terrace in April as its?warm enough for us brits at 20 degrees. Location Away from main road so perfect sleep. 3 min walk to piazza de popollo and main road you can walk down all they way to the forum if you wanted it's a 40 min walk straight down or you can get the metro 3 mins away. Loved having shops nearby and mc cafe for macaroons. 6 min walk to villa Borghese and park perfect for a row boat on the lake and coffee in the park cafe this park leads right to pincio Park more cafes and gelato great views over the city leads to the top of the spanish steps great beautiful shortcut if you don't fancy the central town walk. Location is perfect for rome wouldn't stay anywhere else. I can't fault this hotel it's immaculate and the staff our exceptional. Aircon most welcome as it gets stuffy late March early April although you could leave window open it is quieter than many areas. Great shops nearby for supplies and places to eat.

This review is for the first timers to Rome. This hotel is rated pretty high but we found multiple flaws with the hotel. Some of the pros of this hotel was the staff and television channel choices (it rained on 2 days during our stay). The staff was amazing, friendly, super helpful, and they're the reason they're not getting 1 star. Now to the negatives...The room is small but it's big enough for 2 people to be comfortable. Where the room lacks space is definitely the bathroom. The shower is 2x2 feet, which means if you're an adult you're probably going to be touching the walls. The toilet is right next to the shower and is inches away from the wall which means you have to sit at an angle when using the toilet. The hand and face towels feel like thick paper, or a thick paper towel. My husband got bit by something about 10 times in the course of 8 nights. We don't know what it was but we suspect bedbugs. If you're not a fan of carpeted rooms, then don't stay here. They don't allow food or drinks from outside restaurants inside the outdoor seating area in the hotel, which sucks because we wanted to eat our gelato and just chill there but we weren't able too. The neighborhood here doesn't look bad during the day, but during the night (past 10pm) it looks a little less inviting. One night we came back from a tour, and we did see some people drinking on the street near the park, with beer bottles just laying there. Overall we don't think the hotel was worth the price. Just do your research and stay south of the Piazza del Popolo. No comment on the AC. It was cool during our 2 weeks there.

A very enjoyable 4 night stay here. It’s just a minute or two walk north of the Piazza di Popolo so a very good base for exploring Rome on foot and also just 2 minutes from Flaminio metro station. The hotel is very stylish and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms very very nicely decorated. Can be a little noisy at the front of of the hotel when the street cleaners power wash the street at 1 am, but that’s not the hotels fault. Breakfast was good, choice is a little limited as there is clearly not a large kitchen, but the pastries were always very nice. Overall I’d be happy to return here.

This is a horrible management. We reserved for 2 days stay for July, 2024. Booked it on a Friday and the plans changed we canceled before 24 hours and they will not return our money. The day we were to arrive we requested if we can come by at 2:00 PM instead of 3:00 pm. The management writes to us asking to book one day early. I would have waited for another hour outside but this is a razy unaccomadating group. Stay some were else. Sam
