We stayed for 5 nights. The apartment was clean but in need of new carpets as the old ones had stains on them .This did not take away fro our experience but could have added more. The front staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. When in Rome you are out all day and it was nice...

Great place to stay.. has a small kitchen, really useful to have dinner when you get back exhausted from walking the whole day. If you have a little bit of energy I strongly recommend to go out.. Italy is a great place to eat.. there are great places to have dinner nearby (trastevere's restaurants are awesome)

quite expensive (~$400/night), but in perfect location, just among the ancient roman ruins, within 5 min from anything in the central Rome. Rooms big but annoyingly dirty, almost filthy. Helpful front desk

We had a great stay here at this hotel. We stayed in a small apartment with kitchenette. It was really great having some extra space and small kitchen. The bed and shower were very good. There is also lovely rooftop patio on the floor we stayed. The breakfast was included here. The location was excellent, not in a busy area...

The hotel was not what we expected as we had trouble finding it, even the taxi had to ask where it was. The rooms where comfortable however, but we didn't have coffee or tea in our room and despite as asking for it never received it. It was very close to all the tourist spots so that is what you...

Great location, quiet but within a short walking distance from the Colosseum. Great breakfast included in the rate. Well configured unit with a lovely tiled bathroom and rainhead shower head. Would stay there again.

The Palazzo Al Velabro is little bit hard to find for the first time but after that it was easy. The hotel itself was clean and tidy with good size rooms. Each apartment had a living area with couch, table and chairs and full kitchenettes, separate large bedroom and bathroom. The location is the best. You can walk to the...

We get there past midnight, the reception was amazing. And the place was even better. Lovely view of a room next to an internal patio. Quiet. Perfect lightning. And a free phone to use while in the city. It's perfectly located and the staff was, no doubt, amazing. Thanks.

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
