This is our second time staying at the San Francesco. We love the location and it's very clean, charming with a great friendly and helpful staff. A special shout/out to Alex who learned how to make a Gin&Tonic for us, which he did every night of our stay. He is the kind of charming, friendly employee who makes someone want...

Wonderful hotel. Spotlessly clean. Very helpful staff who helped us with our itinerary & booking tours. Fabulous breakfast! Excellent location. Cafes, restaurants; shops etc all on our doorstep and tram across the road. Would highly recommend & hopefully return to. Nothing bad to say. Well done !

This was exactly what my wife was looking for. The room was pleasant, clean. Wifi worked. The area is great, easy for transportation, a lot of interesting things in imidiare vicinity, as well as easy to travel on form.

This was a nice hotel in a good location, very good value for your money. It's a little out of the way, but there is plenty of restaurants nearby and it's a nice walk into the sites like the colosseum and pantheon. Good basic choices at breakfast and service was very nice.

Good bed, nice bathroom, near Trastevere Centre, near the tram station, great breakfast, clean, and at a very good price, we paid 88€ plus the breakfast. The room space is some kind limited but at acceptable levels and not as that small, personally found it to be just fine with a spacious bathroom

Great location. The Trastevere area of Rome is much quieter than the center, great restaurants and fascinating local churches, all worth a visit. It is a 10 min walk from the Forum area, a 5 min walk to a tram that takes you to Piazza Venezia. The breakfast is excellent, although I'm hoping in the future they will add vegan...

We stayed at this hotel with colleagues due to the proximity of the hotel to the venue of our business meetings. As there are not many hotels in Trastevere, this hotel proved to be a practical choice. It is a nice, small hotel, offering standard services for a hotel of this level. Breakfast is available for a (small) fee. It...

My friend booked this hotel for us impulsively and I was positively surprised by our very comfortable stay. The room and bathroom were very clean and the staff was very kind. We spent 5 nights in this hotel and never once occured the thought that we should change the hotel. It's in perfect walking distance to a lot of restaurants...

I chose this hotel as it was close to where our son is studying for a semester abroad. I was delightfully surprised at this gem hidden down a side street. I stayed for 4 nights and had a nice room that overlooked a lovely courtyard. I would definitely stay here again!

We found this hotel at the last minute and we're lucky they had openings because it's normally full. The cost was moderate for the area but the staff was extremely helpful with directions, the room was very clean and comfortable with a few English channels and a nice bathroom and the breakfast was amazing. A short walk to the bus...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
