A basic but clean hostel, staff very helpful when giving advice on where to go/what to do. Hostel was quiet, secure and located well. Don't come here for a party, this is a relaxing hostel! Thanks Papa Germano!

Let's start off by praising the affordable price this lovely hotel has to offer! Given the good price I wasn't expecting much but this hotel blew my mind away! Absolutely lovely staff, beautiful clean rooms with good amenities and complimentary Wifi! I had read that a lot of hotels near Termini suffer from loud street noises at night, but I...

I had a problem with Agoda where I booked this through, they repeatedly GUARANTEED that the city tax was included (I explicitly asked as some said it wasn't for other rooms for this hotel but this one said it was!) for my party of 4 when I prepaid and they assisted me with booking it only to arrive there and...

The staff are great. The rooms are well kept. Good housekeeping. This hotel is very central close to the main station - Termini. The area has many restaurants and mini-markets. I would recommend it to singles or couples but not to families.

The lady and gentleman in the front are always warm . This hostel is quite busy always but they always have the reassuring smile on their face. Its proximity to Termini is the most convenient . I stayed in their 4 bedroom dorm which was very comfortable .I had never had a television in my earlier hostels in Italy but...

My girlfriend and I arrived here for the duration of the Christmas week planning to stay for the holidays. The reception area was not too bad and walking from termini didn't take that long either. We were greeted by a lady who was friendly enough and checked into our first room which was a double bed with shared bathroom. The...

Paid around 110 eur for a 3bed private room. The host is a very helpful bloke. There are food options to eat nearby. Remember to carry some cash along as they don't accept cards in most small shops around the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget.

First , his hotel is very close to Termini Station. If you are looking for location this is it. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and big with basic decor. The only thing is the bathroom. Although is renovated and new , the shower is so small, that normal people barely fit inside but at least it...

This is our hotel in Rome. We have stayed here multiple times since 2010. Papa's is a two star that has all the things that meet our needs. It is secure with 3 keys needed at night to get through the outside door to your room. The room has a safe for valuables. It is located about 5 blocks from...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
