We just got back from Rome and had a wonderful time, to which the hotel did contribute. It's in a great location, 10 min. walking distance from the Trevi Fountain. We opted for the breakfast, which is only €2.50 if you pay upfront. It's nothing fancy and very 'continental' (lots of sweet pastries, jam, fruit and some hot drinks), so...

This hotel is great its in walking distance to all the attentions 15-30min walk and food places are everywhere in Rome so that also! The main train station where all the speed trains start and passes through to get to other cities is a 15min walk and they also have a metro which is 7mim walk from the hotel! The...

After reading reviews I was a bit nervous but I shouldn't of been as we had the best time. When we (My boyfriend and I) arrived into FCO we took the short train ride to the Terminal, we actually walked from the station to our hotel only took about 5-10 minutes. When you get to the hotel it is a...

This hotel isn't without some inconveniences, but for the value it is an excellent stay in a central location in Rome. It's location made it easy to remember walks to different landmarks in the area, being only a few roads from the Trevi Fountains. However you should be aware that it's located on the top floor of a high building,...

We stayed at the Nardizzi for 5 nights and found it to be clean and cozy with friendly staff who were very helpful. The hotel is not fancy, it has an old style lift, but the beds are great, the rooms are serviced daily and a basic but tasty breakfast is included. The location is fantastic - close to the...

We know hotels in Rome are horribly expensive and of poor quality so I didn't expect much from this hotel who considers itself a 2 star hotel with premises of a simple pension! Third rate breakfast with the lowest quality of fruits and bakery ! Poor hygiene in the rooms ( we stayed there a week and the cleaners didn't...

My title sums it all. For its value and free breakfast, I say that this hotel is good. It is of walking distance from the Piazza Republica and a Metro station. It is also of walking distance from the Rome Termini Station. The neighborhood is not scary and the staff are very helpful. The hotel is located in the fourth...

The hotel is located at 4th floor in an old big building. It's got a worn look, but very good beds, service and beautiful breakfast terrace. For the price given it's a good place to stay. Quiet surroundings!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
