The hotel has very good location in the city centre and very close to train station and metro station, where there are 2 lines in the whole city, good things end with this!!! The rooms were very dirty and unsupported . For each problem ( ksto damaged TV, for example ), the staff smiles and promises, BUT does nothing! Warm...

The mattresses dipped and were uncomfortable. The decor was outdated. The walls were dirty. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower was ok. Breakfast was slow (and there weren't enough tables) and even when it came out the rolls were stale and you had one of these and a croissant each - not exactly a continental breakfast...

My friend and I stayed in Tre Estelle for 4 nights - a disappointing welcome to Italy. Upon arrival, we were 'greeted' by the rude receptionist, who collected our passports and insisted we go to our rooms before giving them back to us. We were then expected to pay €32 tax for the 4 nights we'd be staying, which was...

In 40 years of travelling the globe I can honestly say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I was in Rome to watch the rugby and the trip was spoilt by the decrepid state of the accommodation, so bad that we moved hotels after the first night. Old fashioned broken and damaged furniture, unhygienic bathroom dirty...

We would not choose to repeat to the experience, no matter how desperate. In it's favour it is close to the main station and relatively easy to get to the main tourist sites. Lift is tiny and only went to 4th floor - our room was on 5th floor. No heating in the room, other than a domestic fan heater,...

The owners/staff at this hotel are thieves. They don't reply to emails. They claim emails don't arrive. They charged me for one night despite me telling them I was too ill to stay.... They have then refused to answer correspondence and haven't refunded. Referred this to my bank to charge back fee! Disgusting thrives! Don't not use them...

Don't bother. This hotel is well below the most basic of hotels. It's very unclean and the rooms and bathrooms are a joke. We were in a large party and all the rooms were of the same standard. We moved out to another Hotel. Sharpish.

Disgusting place. Filthy rooms. The staff could not care at all. Do not stay here, it will spoil your trip. Interesting activities on the other floors in the building where you can rent rooms by the hour.

A very basic hotel. Couldn't have a shower for two days, as no hot water. Not enough tables in dining room for breakfast. Some of the staff were friendly' but overall would not recommend staying here and would probably stay somewhere else.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
