The Hotel Farnese is a very comfortable place to stay in a quiet, residential area. It's very close to a subway stop and several bus stops. We had a very lovely room with a private balcony, which I would highly recommend reserving. The breakfast was delicious and nice to have fresh squeezed orange juice each morning. The staff was very friendly...

This was our favourite hotel on our trip to Italy. We spent 4 nights at this hotel and loved it. Our room and private terrace were perfect and we loved being so close to the metro and within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and sites. All staff were incredibly helpful and their recommendations for restaurants and guidance with directions...

This hotel is perfect. We had a fabulous stay. Beautiful old villa in an established yet quiet neighborhood. A ten minute walk to the Vatican. Our room with a terrace felt roomy, but no street noise. 5th floor breakfast room with views and a full and delicious breakfast spread. The staff is helpful and charming. We will definitely stay here...

My husband and I spent two nights in the Hotel Farnese during our recent trip to Italy. We have been in Rome many times, but this was our first stay here and I would enthusiastically return. The hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood across the Tiber from the center and this was of some concern to me before our...

We were very pleased with the Hotel Farnese - thank you tripadvisor! Great value; very nice room and and an unexpectedly wonderful breakfast. All sites were within walking distance or the metro. Only negative was the "king size" bed, which was 2 abbutting twin mattresses.

I stayed at the Hotel Farnese during my first trip to Rome (Europe). It is a very convenient hotel--walking to distance to many sights and within easy reach of the Metro (also easy to navigate). The staff is wonderful--very helpful with everything from making dining reservations to money exchanges to suggestions on where to go. Breakfast was so much more...

Had a recent stay for 5 nights. Each time we returned to the Hotel Farnese we felt like we were coming home. We have been to Rome before (first time in this hotel) and this is by far my favorite hotel. It is within walking distance to all of our must see spots, and a few steps from the Metro....

A very comfy and romantic hotel. Great value. Having delicious breakfast at the roof garden was a must every morning. A stone's throw from the Lepanto metro station. From the hotel priviledged location we were able to walk to both the centre of Rome and the Vatican city in less than 20 minutes. Very friendly staff with great advice for...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
