The Hotel Farnese was the best hotel we have stayed at. The staff were helpful and friendly. This included arranging our airport pick up and two tours (Vatican and Coliseum.) The room was spotless and very comfortable. Good air conditioning, a quiet area and blackout drapes let us sleep really well. It was also well located in a lovely safe... More

Clean hotel. Comfortable but small room. Balcony. View on the street. Fantastic breakfast on the roof top. Parking included. Very good location: walkable distance from shops, restaurants and the Vatican. Cheap price for what you get!

Great hotel located near the metro station making it easy to get around the city. Wonderful breakfasts with a lovely view. Rooms are clean and well maintained to a high standard. The friendly and willing to help service is one of the biggest advantages of this place. I highly recommend it.

The metro is half a block from the hotel and in one stop is The Vatican and going the other way, the Spanish Steps. We have been to this hotel several times and always come back for the wonderful, helpful staff at the front desk. Louis, Andrea, Alessandra are the best! The breakfast always stuns newcomers! Not just the array... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and extended a night because it was a great place and we wanted to see more of Rome. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and close to everything including a subway stop (Lepanto). It has Old World style and charm. The breakfast was nice, but could have had a few more choices. The hotel is nicely located between Piazza del Popolo (10 minutes walk on one side) and Città del Vaticano (slightly longer walk on the opposite side). Service is excellent in the lovely atmosphere of a small hotel. We found a very good price, but we understood it can vary a lot.

The hotel atmosphere is very nice. The neighbourhood is quiet but so close to the Vatican. The staff were kind and helpful. Our room was clean and the balcony is nice. Only one bad experience was the breakfast. Eggs was weird without any taste and bread also. I don' t eat sugar/ chocolate filled croissant or fruits for breakfast, so... More

We stayed for vacation July 2016 with absolutely no complaints. This is an older (from what I understand) restored castle. Everything was well up to par. Had no problems with traffic noise (like others have said). A/c worked just fine in our perfectly clean room. We had hot water when we wanted it. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.... More

We ended up here by mistake; I usually stay at the Residenza Farnese near Campo di Fiori but somehow goofed in doing the booking. It turned out to be a fortuitous error. The hotel itself is in the old Palazzo Farnese and is beautifully appointed. The rooms have high ceilings, and while it was a little noisy and a little... More

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Farnese in the basement floor. The staff was very helpful and the lady who was breakfast hostess welcomed us with a smile and a nice cup of cappuccino, a good start of the day! A good location near the metro and the vatican.

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
