Hotel is located in a very central part of the City. Perfect for people who do not have their own form of transport. 5 Minutes walk from Piazza Navona and very close to the Pantheon. Room was small but well equipped so was perfect as a base to go exploring the city from. There is a rooftop terrace which is...

This is a perfectly located hotel for sightseeing in Rome, with knowledgeable and kind staff. The room was spacious and extremely clean, and the service at breakfast time was excellent despite it being full. Overall, this hotel is great value for money, and has a fine roof terrace that gives terrific views over the Rome skyline.....highly recommended!

Really nice hotel in central Rome by Campo d Fiori. Easy walking distance to all attractions in particular Piazza Novona is very close by for evening stroll! We had a remodeled room which was small but very well designed with places for us to put everything we needed. The breakfast here is very (A+) good, with many options and very...

Nice hotel and staff. We had a great time in Rome for 5 days and nights. They were very helpful in arranging taxis to pick us up at the airport. Breakfasts were always very excellent! Rooms are nice, clean, though small. Be ready for tiny showers, but other than that, there were no complaints. We picked this hotel for its...

Smeraldo has recently been remodeled and is lovely- beautiful bathrooms/rooms, nice breakfast and common areas. Beautiful views from the roof-top terrace and now they have bar service there also. Location near Campo Di Fiori is so convenient for all attractions. Staff couldn't be more helpful, especially Pier Paleo and Leonardo. Can't wait for our next visit.

There were 2 couples in our party & we stayed a total of 4 nights & we highly recommend this hotel. The staff speaks good English, directs you to all locations with a detailed map, calls a cab for you & suggests places to see & where to eat. The rooms are small (typical for most of Italy), but clean...

Great, clean hotel in walking distance of all the major sites in Rome. The staff were great, good choice at breakfast, rooms not the biggest but if you're hanging around your room in Rome then maybe you should have gone somewhere else. Not much more to say than it's ideal. We will definitely stay there again.

We chose to stay at the Hotel Smeraldo because it is perfectly located near the Campo di Feori which means that not only are all the major sites within walking distance but that, unlike during previous trips to Rome, we didn't have the daily navigation of one of the seven famous hills, as that part of Rome is on level...

Great location for walking to the must-see sights of Rome. Professional and welcoming staff. There's a rooftop terrace offering drinks and a beautiful roofline view of Rome. Clean, good showers, comfy beds, and "cozy" rooms (read: small). The breakfast buffet is generous and tasty ... and included in the room price. The photo is taken from the rooftop terrace.

This was our second visit to Hotel Smeraldo. Last year we spent one night post-cruise... this year we spent two nights post cruise. We stayed in the annex building this time and absolutely loved it! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff is genuinely helpful. The breakfast was outstanding! I look forward to staying here again.
