Check in was great, welcoming staff, super fast, and as soon as you enter the lobby it smelt delicious. The place was very clean from the lobby to my room. It's small, single room but big enough for one person. It's clean and neat, kind of luxurious for a boutique hotel, smelt nice, good size balcony, comfortable bed, free toiletries....

We ended our 2 weeks vacation in Rome at Smeraldo hotel. The location is perfect--steps from Campo di Fiori (nice square/plaza). The room is small but comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Shuttle to airport was very convenient. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby (not inside Campo di Fiori though). Our room was right across from a busy yummy...

First visit to Italy and we were a little worried about our language skills. Booking a driver through the hotel was money well spent, even though we normally handle our own transportation. Rome airport was a little confusing and we had a difficulty with our luggage. Having a trusted driver holding a sign with our name was most helpful. Our...

Helpful staff, fabulous included breakfast, close to Campo di Fiori. I recommend eating across the alley at the cafe Rissiolo (sp?). Fabulous pizza. It is small and busy, but worth it! I definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel was a little hard to find as it is down a side street but it is in a good location and we were able to walk to all the major tourist attractions from there such as The Coliseum and The Vatican. The bedroom was small but very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were amazing. I...

I was in Rome with family and friends in December of 2016. Other friends had recommended the Hotel Smeraldo to us. We were delighted that we took their advice! With the hotel being only a few blocks from the Campo de' Fiori, its location is excellent. Once we got to the hotel, we walked everywhere (including the Ara Pacis Museum,...
