The best thing about the hotel is the fact that it is located in Trastevere , an excellent location for visiting all the major sights in Rome and also a great location for restaurants ,bars, and nightlife if so inclined. Yet the hotel is located...More
Great Location and good value for seeing the sights and for exploring the eclectic Trastevere neighborhood. I stayed one week. Room/bathroom was clean, spacious, included a fridge and was quiet. Restaurants and markets within a block provide daily rations at high quality and reasonable price...More
Everyone working there was very nice and helpful, they gave great directions and advice on where to go and how to get there. The rooms are bigger than expected from most of the other three star hotels i have been to and more comfortable. so...More
This was our first stop on our honeymoon. It was perfect for our budget. The staff is excellent. The location is great. The room was fine. The breakfast was very good. Our favorite thing about staying here was the sidewalk cafe right around the corner....More
We were please with the level of service at the hotel. They arranged a car to and from the airport (a little more expensive than the standard regulated taxi price but no additional costs e.g tipping, extra for luggage) - really good service.
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
Hotel Trastevere is a few minutes walk to buses and trams, there is also a light bus that goes to piazza garibaldi and continues to the Vatican. As for night life it's all literally just around the corner.....

We did the trip the other way around. Took the train from Civitavecchia to Trastevere and the tram from just outside the station to a short walk to the hotel. We had the hotel reserve a car for us to the airport on leaving so we were confident we would arrive in time. We each had a moderate size suitcase and are seniors, but managed fine. All the hotel staff are very helpful with any information.
