I believed that the "L" was for luxury, but I could find it in the Grand Hotel Plaza. When we arrived, the reception area, main lounge and staff were excellent, but it was all down hill from there.... We went to our rooms, on floor 5, via the two lifts, both of which had a distinct smell of sewers through...

Old world meets modern infrastructure The hotel is ideally positioned to move around Rome on foot but i have to admit the rooms are sub-5 star standard Yo cannot fault the location. You can easily walk to all the main attractions Rome has to offer However, the hotel was a bit of a disappointment to my first experience of Rome....

The location of this hotel was in the center of the room near the via Del Corso between the Piazza Del Popolo and Piazza Venezia. A Perfect place for us to stay and walk throughout town and enjoy the many monuments in squares. From this location we were able to easily access Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, the Colosseum, before him...

This Hotel was in a great location, for sight seeing and shopping but unfortunately the standard of service on the reception desk and in the breakfast room was very poor. We had a problem with the Air con in our room (at 30c it was too warm!) and when we complained to the reception desk they said that it was...

Very bad room(superior room was booked). I will never stay in this worsest hotel. It's really only 0 star hotel. Damaged bed. Telephon was damaged and switched off, in the room was very very cold ( Even with turned on heating). View from window on the building in 3 meters against window. Windows are very old with big chinks and...

We stayed at this hotel with a large group and used the meeting facilities. The hotel's location is fantastic and it is quite stunning with a lot of charme, but some parts need improvements. Rooms standards varied but its in the process of being renovated. Food quality is very good, but restaurants are a bit dark, esp at breakfast. Unfortunately...

Old grand hotel, just like the name. Had spacious room and large bath. Very unfriendly front desk staff. The breakfast in the hotel was a total rip off. The location is very central and though the room was large for European standards it was not that clean, and the ac barely worked. I asked for extra pillows - we were...

Hotel staff - made us feel welcome right away and brought our luggage to our room for us. We had a tour booked but the tour bus didn't pick us up as requested (company was not associated with this hotel), so the hotel made sure we arrived on time in a private car. After our tour we went to the...

First, we ask for 4 rooms, and we specifically asked that 2 of them were next to each other because we were travelling with kids and you didn´t have it available at the time we arrived. Then my shower never worked during the 4 days until the last day that a plumber arrived just when I was having my breakfast....

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
