The hotel room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was so big, it had 2 postcodes! Service was adequate but not brilliant. Food in dining room was unexciting and expensive. The breakfast was 5 Euros each so we ate outside of the hotel and there are plenty of restaurants close by that you can eat at. Hotel had free...

Definitely a must see! It's a Classic - shamefully it hasn't lived up to the grandeur it once had but the trimmings are still lingering. Go! Have a drink - you're in Rome! It's an ahhhh. Go to the 5th floor terrace too.

Yes, the Grand Hotel Plaza is not the newest one and some things should be improved, but, I liked it. Staff is helpful and friendly. The house has charme, the architecture is great (I am an architect) and the location is also very 'convenient'.

This is probably one of the most over rated hotels I have ever stayed at. Forget 5 star, in 1975 it was probably a 5 star hotel bit not now. - Pre-ordered airport pick-up never came. - Air condition never worked - beds uncomfortable - mini bar was a joke. - over priced - toilet stink in the whole hotel...

The Plaza Hotel, before was a residence of an Italian noble. Rich man with strong taste, hire a famous architect to build the house with lavish rooms. Be in this hotel is like to be in a Castel of 19th century. The location is very central, via del Corso just a block from Via Condotti and few minutes walk from...

This is by far the worst hotel I've stayed in more than 25 cities in my latest trip to Italy. When you consider this is somehow rated a 5 star star hotel (???) it is the worst value for money in the history of hotels. It is literally a 2 star hotel and a bad one - it's a hell...

Visited Rome with husband and another couple to celebrate friend's special birthday and this hotel did not disappoint. Excellent pick-up service from the airport and reliable recommendations and advice from concierge. Rooms were very clean, spacious and had very comfortable beds. Luxurious ambience in all public areas. Breakfast could have been better if food had been hotter. Bacon, sausages and...

The main hotel decor is 'something else' as they say, but the bedroom accommodation is shabby and dated. The beds were 'firm' squeaky and lumpy in places with pillows resembling sacks of bricks. Never-the-less the hotel is well placed and offered a super location - but don't bother with the breakfast as it is well overpriced at 25euros each for...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
