My husband & I found and booked this hotel after all the very helpful reviews on this site (a big Thank You to all the previous visitors who shared their experiences!), and we couldn't have been happier. Yes, it has a quirky entrance -- and there's a sewer grate just inside those oversized, outer doors that greets you with a...

This hotel offers good value 3* accomodation. We stayed here in July 2006 on the 5th floor of the hotel - the rooms were reasonably spaacious and spotlessly clean. The only drawback was that our rooms were facing main road (VIa Nazionale) and we were woken up through the night with trafffic noise. The other drawback would be the size...

Hotel Miami is located near to the central train station where the buses from the airport drop you and you need only find the Piazza Republica from the train station (easy) and then follow the street to get there. In the evenings you have to get buzzed in by the guy on the desk but that was always very rapid...

My husband and I stayed in Hotel Miami in Rome last week ( August 2006 ) . The Hotel is absolutely excellent - room was air conditioned, we had a balcony, a safe, a mini bar in room, tv, private bathroom - it was absolutely great and I would certainly recomment this Hotel to any traveller to Rome. The staff...

We have stayed at the Hotel Miami for 7 nights in the July 2006. We were 4 persons and we booked two double rooms. The rooms are very very clean and they are equipped with air conditioned, private bathroom, telephone, satellite television, hairdryer, minibar and safe deposit box. The breakfast was very good, but it was the same every day. The...

We stayed in Hotel Miami for three nights in July 06. We took a quadrable room for economic reasons. The room was quite small, but that was expected. Very clean, very safe with good breakfast. Stuff very helpful. Tiny shower, probably the worst thing about the Hotel. However, nothing beats the location. Close to everything but the Vatican. If you...

Found the hotel after reading about it on Trip Advisor and it lived up to the reviews. You have to leave your key with the front desk every time you leave the hotel which can be a pain but at least the key doesn't get lost. The doors to the floor are locked at night so we felt safe since...

Superbly positioned, just yards from the bus stop which connects you to almost all the sites and just a couple of minutes walk to the underground, and super quick link to the Vatican and the Colliseum. Irish bar across the road and a couple of decent cafes just yards away. Hotel reception extremely helpful. Rooms spotlessly clean and room service...

My wife and I have just returned from a five day stay at the Hotel Miami and considered the hotel to provide excellent value for the price we paid. The location was super and we were able to visit all the sites on foot - even the Vatican. The room was a reasonable size for two, clean, tidy and nicely...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
