We chose this hotel because it had a swimming pool and it was right next to a shopping center. Due to mobility issues I needed to be somewhere comfortable and the pool was good for me to do my physio everyday.
The hotel is very clean, the staff are super friendly and helpful (apart from the breakfast staff who were quite rude), but I put that down to the restaurant being extremely busy and staff rushed off their feet.
Rooms are quite small, but for 3 nights we didn't need anything more. Housekeeping do a wonderful job of cleaning the rooms. We had room 183 which is on the 2nd floor of block 1. It had a small balcony but with no view. Just the outside walls of Eur2 shopping center.
There is a fridge in the room and a big bonus was the bathtub in the bathroom. The shower is amazing. Great water pressure for and enjoyable shower. Shampoo, shower gel, soap and towels are available in the room. There is and English news channel on the TV, but not kettle in the room.
Just have patience with the a/c in the room. It does cool the room down, but it just needs a little time.
The pool is immaculately clean but you must wear a swimming cap, available to buy in the reception for €5 each. The bar area by the pool is lovely too and open until 11pm. There is always life there so if you didn't fancy venturing out you can have a relaxed drink at the pool bar.
Bus stop to head into Rome is just outside the hotel, and Uber's are super efficient here too.
We would stay here again.

We stayed for three nights in this hotel, the location is excellent as it is very close to a large shopping center and bus stops.
The room was very comfortable and aesthetically very nice (the only flaw was the heat in the room). The staff was always very friendly and the breakfast also offered a variety of options.
For three nights for two people we spent 255 euros... I would say an excellent value for money. If in the future we need to return to Rome we will certainly consider staying here again!

The hotel is a little bit far from the city Center (2 Buses ride approximately 30 min.) , the bus station is right in front the hotel, and right next to the hotel in Euroma 2 Mall. The mall have a food court with a lot of fast food and restaurants, also Coop Supermarkt. I booked 02 rooms one for me and my wife and the other for the kids. At the reception they told us that the rooms are on 2 different floors although we made only one booking. At the reception 2 girls one couldn’t help at all, the second kept us waiting in front of her and keep servicing other guests behind us. Please beware that to use the swimming pool you must bring a swimming cap or buy one at the reception. The rooms are very nice and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great the waiters are so energetic. The lifeguard at the pool always strict to the hotel rules and let no one to swim without the cap, only if you are bald :) on the way to your room you will find nice olive tree and Rosemary bushes. Dinner is a bit expensive, better go to Euroma and have dinner there. The hotel is very recommended to families, we really like it.

The room itself was very basic with the curtains not shutting properly in our room (which wasn't great as there was thunder one night), the bathroom door constantly sliding open, and it lacking anything to make it seem even a tad bit cosy (even the hallway was bare and made it not seem welcoming or give a good vibe). It felt far from being a four star hotel and more like a motel, to be honest. The location is slightly out from the centre (you can get a bus quite easily to the train station) so price wise it's cheaper - if you want something quite basic and affordable then you might like this but I would recommend adjusting your expectations if you're expecting something of high quality.

The breakfast was quite poor. The hot food selection was limited and the scrambled eggs weren't nice at all. They had a selection of pastries but they didn't seem fresh.

The only highlight was the bar which had great service from one of the bar tenders. I think her name was Claudia (I can't recall fully) and she was incredibly friendly, welcoming and really good at customer service. The staff at reception were helpful too.

Big surprise!!!! Has exceeded our expectations beyond any anticipation. If anyone can find anything to complain about this stay, they may as well just not travel at all because this hotel is as good as it is going to get. Modern design, yet with a somewhat Italian touch. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and forthcoming and was able to individually cater to the guests' requests. They were extremely dilligent in terms of cleanliness and maintenance of the place, sheets were changed daily (or every second day, clean as snow), the breakfast buffet was lush and wonderful and the food amazing.
The swimming pool is clean, well catered, and supervised. NOTE HOWEVER that you need a swimming cap so as to use the pool facilities (can be purchased at the reception for 5 EUR).
The location is equally amazing, it takes about 40ish min. to get to the city center, but buses and the metro are accessible, round-way trip into town and back is 3EUR. It is also located quite close to Fiumincino Airport with a 20 min Uber ride (40 EUR give or take).
Also, there is a big shopping center right next to the hotel (ca. 3 min walk), with stores, a large retailer and a food court.
We can sincerely recommend this hotel for anyone between the ages of 3 to 99. :-)

It's not the first time we've stayed at this hotel and I have to say it gets better and better. Infinite and very convenient parking, with the possibility of parking near your accommodation, extremely comfortable and very clean rooms, equipped with all comforts, coffee machine with welcome pods, very convenient soap and shampoo dispensers already fixed in the beautiful walk-in shower, the whose dish was brilliant, so much so that I showered without slippers. The bathroom is modern and nothing is missing, from towels to wipes, all promptly replenished. Modern furniture, huge TV, free wifi, perfect sheets and pillows, there are even other pillows and duvets. What can I add? Nothing because the room was perfect, also very quiet, so you slept and rested very well. The abundant breakfast is full of everything, from sweets that are not at all industrial to savory, all excellent, with times from 6.30am to 10am and check out at 3pm. I really can't add more, just recommend it and...will return for the umpteenth time time!

I stayed in this facility for 3 nights, booking a double room for single use from the hotel website for the modest sum of around 390 euros plus tourist tax.
At check in (very slow) I was asked for advance payment. Not wanting to use the credit card and not having enough cash with me, I asked if payment upon arrival was mandatory and the girl at the reception replied yes, inviting me to go and withdraw the money from the ATM in the nearby shopping center and adding " We're waiting for you." Being very tired from the trip and just wanting to go up to my room, I asked to be able to pay for the first night immediately and the remaining two the next morning. The receptionist agreed, pointing out that "they were coming to meet me". Now, it has never happened to me to be asked for advance payment in a 4-star hotel, at most in some B&B!!
The structure is made up of a main building and three - let's call them - annexes.
The room I was assigned was in one of the annexes, on the ground floor. Upon entering you have the impression of being in a sad apartment building. The room was quite spacious, but the curtains were definitely dirty, with big stains and broken ones at the top, the walls were dirty, with stains of various colors and lots of marker marks everywhere. Since the curtains were white and transparent, it was necessary to constantly keep the roller shutter lowered because the windows are so low that anyone passing by can see the entire interior of the room. There were some brown stains on the bathroom fixtures and the ceramic of the sink had some cracks.
I had decided to ask to change rooms on the second day, but at the thought of having to repack all my luggage I gave up.
Last but not least, on the morning of the second day I accidentally spilled a bit of orange liquid on the bedside table, then I left the room and when I returned I found it redone but the stain of liquid on the bedside table was still there... this was to understand the level of cleaning!!
The breakfast room was very crowded, the waitress invited me to sit at a table for two, but many of the free tables had yet to be cleared. In the end I sat at a table with some crumbs that I proceeded to remove with a paper napkin.
Even more unpleasant, the waiters, as soon as they see you for two seconds without putting food in your mouth, rush to the table and take your plate away from under your nose!! Both days I had to ask the waiter to leave my plate because I hadn't finished eating yet.
In conclusion the room was not even close to a 4 star hotel and it is not acceptable to pay what I paid for such an accommodation. But above all, during the booking phase it should be clearly specified whether you are booking a room in the main building or in one of the annexes and - more importantly - the two solutions should have different rates.

We chose the Columbus Hotel despite its inconvenient location because it had a swimming pool and seemed high-quality based on the pictures and rating. However, the pool area with its bars and terraces was completely closed due to "maintenance work," which of course was not notified in advance. The hotel is located in a bleak industrial area with nothing beautiful around and no places to spend the evening. Guests had to hang out in the hotel's parking lot.

The hotel's website also did not mention that the so-called standard rooms are not located in the nicer main building but in a separate dilapidated apartment building. The rooms are not in good condition and certainly not up to four-star hotel standard rooms. The bathroom had a very strong sewer smell, and the entire room had a strange musty odor. We pointed this out to the staff, and we were kindly given another room where the sewer smell was milder. Although the room was cleaned, many things were still in disrepair, such as the shower basin leaking onto the bathroom floor and the room's paintwork bubbling. The old-fashioned air conditioning unit was difficult to adjust. It seemed like the whole building needed renovation (water damage, etc.). The "minibar" was actually an empty fridge. Breakfast was at best okay, with poor automatic coffee served in paper cups. We had to ask for water in plastic cups separately from the staff. The breakfast area was a dreary conference room, not a nice restaurant.

The hotel's pictures and star rating are seriously misleading, and it is very disappointing that we wasted our last holiday evening at Columbus and paid for a night in a miserable bunker. We felt cheated by the experience, even though the staff was friendly.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Was hesitant regarding the location as we did not want to drive into the center city, but the bus stop directly in front of the hotel easily connected us to the metro. Was also concerned with a couple of bus loads of younger students, but they all stayed in another building and therefore no hassles.
Breakfast was outstanding and staff accommodating. Very thankful that I read a previous review regarding vegan croissants! Thank you. Made my day!

We stayed in this hotel in the Eur area for just one night during a concert at the Palalottomatica.
The location is excellent, 5 minutes on foot to reach the stadium (the Google Maps indication for the walking route is completely wrong)
Recent structure, friendly, welcoming and professional staff (reception, dining room and cleaning staff).
Clean room, large bathroom with courtesy kit.
Large free parking.
Final gem: rich and varied sweet and savory breakfast.
Excellent price including tourist tax

Hi, you can take a bus just outside the hotel to the train station, and then take a train to the coliseum. It is pretty straight forward. The Mall next door to the hotel has a wide variety of food types available, at very fair prices, so you cannot go hungry. The meal we had at the hotel restaurant was simply delicious, so eating at the hotel is a good option as well. This was a great hotel to stay at.
