We booked the hotel at the last minute and chose it because of its central location, beds for four and budget price. The Cambridge is not fancy but the beds are comfortable and water is hot. The service at the front desk and at breakfast is very friendly and helpful. You won't find many electrical outlets for recharging your phone(s)....

This was a nice place to stay. The room was small but clean and quiet even though it was on a busy street. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was included and was small but enough to fill us for sure. The pastries were fresh and the table service was great. Our room had an old hairdryer but it...

Average place with very small rooms and no view, very basic breakfast, no toiletries, no help for even carrying your luggage, no complementary drinking water in the room, very less staff, only plus point is the location close to central hub and train terminal

The hotel is what you would expect from an inner city low price accommodation. The room was clean - fresh towels and bedding daily - staff were very nice but you only saw them at breakfast. The room was big enough to sleep in (JUST) space was at a premium. If you are well proportioned it is not the place...

We were a family of five staying for 3 nights at this hotel. The rooms are very small and depressing. A lot of dark wood and you would not want to stay in the room any longer than you have to. The double rooms were very noisy at night as the Dustmen came in the middle of the night and...

we are sorry for his negative review but at the same time we want to emphasize that it is not our hotel to be an unpleasant place but unfortunately it is often the rudeness of customers let it down. We are always courteous to all as it should be but we also believe that there must be humanity from customers...

The location may be close to Rome termini, station with bus, train and metro. But the neighboorhood was very dirty and the hotel is more like a hostel for students. I was shocked when in entered. Also the staff was friendly but half of them could not dpeak English. I booked the hotel through Opodo.com and although they mentioned on...

We stayed here as part of a European school tour for 4 nights. It is okay but not great. We were in a group of 4 and shared a room on the ground floor. Rooms are not huge, but big enough for our belongings. Our room in particular had a strong damp, dirty smell and it was quite cold. Bathroom...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
