Stayed at this hotel from July 2 - 5, 2008. Very nice accomodations. The room was clean and large. The bed was a bit hard, but this is common in Eurpope. The bathroom was nice and clean. This hotel has a lift that can be used for a suitcase or two. As with the other reviews, it is true that...

This hotel is a great find. Very close to Termini train station and reasonably close to all the sights (about 10 to 15 mins walk). It is a bit out of the way, so therefore more quiet than traditional Rome hotels. It is a small hotel, and therefore has great friendly service. The rooms are larger than average. We had...

We stayed here in Feb for a Valentines break, as all the reviews say this pace is a hidden gem and with amazing service, nothing is too much trouble. With its great rooms decorated beautifully. It is in a great position for travelling arround and also close to some great resturaunts or just a wander to the spanish steps. We...

We stayed at the Cellini 5 nights in the beginning of June and returned for another 3 nights near the end of June. We were impressed with the level of gracious service and the general feel of calm in this small hotel. Our room a Junior Suite was spacious, well appointed and spotless. We enjoyed returning to our oasis after a...

When we arrived they showed...

The excellent reviews are well deserved. I did extensive research before booking and was not disappointed. When we arrived for our 8 day stay earlier in June, Donato who was manning the desk and checked us in easily spending half an hour giving us maps and tips for gelato places, restaurants and public transportation. He couldn't do enough for us....

Residenza Cellini The staff at this hotel were very helpful and always available. The breakfast was very good, lots of breads, meat, cheese, fruit and juice. There was a nice sun room that we used to eat our take-out pizza. My granddaughters had a room with a large tub and they liked taking bubble baths, but our shower was a...

My son, who is on college, and I stayed at this residenza for five nights in June. It was our last stay at the end of a three week trip in Italy and Vienna. It was wonderful. Great location (not far from the train station, walk or take the metro to all the sights, took the taxi to the Borghese),...

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Italy and began and ended in Rome with a 12 day cruise in between. Both of our separate stays at the Residenza Cellini were superb. We were greeted with a smile, a cup of espresso and a map of the whole of Rome both times. After checking us in they asked what...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
