Hotel Diana Roof Garden is a mixed experience for guests, with its atmosphere earning both praise for comfort and criticism for dated aspects. While the hotel's cleanliness and convenient location near attractions are highlights, sleep may be disrupted by noise. The amenities, including a rooftop bar and comfortable beds, are well-liked, though calls for updates are common.
Service quality varies, with reports of both friendliness and unprofessionalism. Room experiences are inconsistent, with renovated spaces facing off against those needing attention. As for value, opinions are divided, as some guests feel the hotel doesn't fully deliver on its promise.

Stayed for 4 nights and each day presented different experiences.
The rooms were clean and had good space for moving around. Room servicing was done everyday (not a vacum)
There was no cutlery. I understand that they are wanting to encourage people to use the restaurant, but still a knife and folk would have been nice. The cups were plastic and the fridge barely fitted anything in it. Also it wasnt very cold.
The air-conditioning is run by a main system so the fastest way to cool the room was to open the window. Which was so loud due to street noise, also cigarette smoke and vehicle fumes would drift in.
The shower was brilliant but the bathroom was tiny, the door opened in to the room and made the space hard to navigate. Adding a sliding door would be a great adjustment and make it more functional.
Breakfast was awful, looked and felt like barely any effort was made with the very basics. The bread was cut in half and not full pieces. The scrambled eggs sat in a lot of liquid which made it very unpleasant to eat. We ate their once and then sourced our own. Sadly due to that experience, it put us off eating in the restaurant.
Location is great to the main train station, which was appreciated after long days of sight seeing.
The staff were always polite.
However, we wouldn't recommend this hotel nor would stay again.

We’ve just got back from a 3 night stay here. We arranged a private transfer with the hotel directly, when arriving at the airport we were a little concerned as there was no one to greet us. After ringing the hotel to contact the driver and ask if he was there, they just kept saying “stay put”, with no idea what was going on. It turned out the driver wasn’t at the airport. But when he did greet us he was very helpful. It took around 15 minutes to get into the city and then 20 minutes to get to our hotel due to traffic. Staff at reception when arriving were helpful and arranged a transfer back to the airport there and then we were quoted €60 cash. The hotel reception was pretty smart also. We were situated on the first floor, our room was an updated one, which we were sceptical about after reading the reviews. A little small but it did the job. Breakfast wasn’t too bad either. Location wise - I would say if you plan to head out on day trips, because it so close to the station it probably is a good shout. For us, it felt like everything was miles away from each other! After reading so many good reviews about the location being superb, I personally don’t agree but I guess this is all dependant on what you have planned whilst you’re there. We ended up using the “from now” app on the second day to get taxis, which helped us to get to a lot of places and it was very efficient. Although we planned to walk to Vatican City and get a taxi back- it took an hour there. We were quoted €45 back. But did end up walking- long but doable.

Currently staying at Hotel Diana Rooftop Garden in Rome and so far a very mixed review. My partner and I have been looking forward to staying here since we booked back in June 2023 but unfortunately we haven’t had the best of service.
Upon arrival, first impressions - lobby was really modern and clean - we were really impressed (I couldn’t wait to see our room) We then waited on 1 of the 3 members of staff on reception for assistance. When we were called to check in we were given a room key for room 232 and that was it…. no further information given about the facilities, breakfast times etc. I felt we were poorly serviced after listening to other arrivals conversations at check in.
We got to the room and how disappointed I was with the room. The room is nothing that looked like the pictures online. There is wallpaper coming away from the walls, shower doesn’t sit right on the wall, TV is behind a wall which we can’t see from the bed, a wall for a window view and dust everywhere (Room 232) Just across from the room is where the maids keep all their products and bedding etc and they keep their cart next to our room door at all times, it’s not a great sight to see. At 3:30am/4am in the morning I can hear them bringing out their stock for the day and it can be really noisy.
Breakfast at the hotel is very basic.. tea/coffee, fruit bowls, toast and a selection of jams etc. Buffet Style. Okay for the morning ahead. There is a lovely cafe across the road called Washington’s where my partner and I get a coffee each morning. I recommend.
However, Rome so far has been amazing for things to do and an only positive for the hotel has been the location as it is roughly 20mins from each main attraction in Rome.

Just arrived home from this hotel. We booked a package with Jet2. Unfortunately the room we were given, 109, was horrible. My family had refurbished rooms which were lovely, especially 508. Room 109 (ours) was Extremely dark with maroon paintwork, maroon striped wallpaper (peeling off) and maroon doors. Maroon carpet that must’ve been 20 years old. Main bed was on a 6” plinth ! Very odd and dangerous as easily missed and causes a stumble/fall - as happened to me ! Bathroom had great shower (powerful) over a bath (awkward not sufficient grab rails) and lively fluffy towels. Air con was good but under a window and brown shutters were locked so no light coming in. Weird set up for lighting- find the switch !! Bed was comfortable and linen spotless. However, I’ve come home with over 20 on my body, 3 serious ones on my face and I wore king sleeves and trousers outside due to weather. They were definitely from room. We only stayed three days and believe me that was enough. Hotel was full so no room to move. One lift is ridiculous and breakfast is not great but you’d always find something. We had ours over the road after first day. We were at a family wedding hence our reason for staying here - I must say service at wedding meal and food was first class. Just avoid room 109. Bar was rarely open. Cleaning lady was lovely and reception staff were helpful.

The hotel was beautiful as soon as you walked in the lobby, the reception staff were welcoming and also very helpful with any queries we had. They also went above and booked taxi’s for us rather than having us figuring it out ourselves. Our room was clean and every morning they came in and changed the sheets and towels and stocked the fridge which was such a lovely bonus they give you complimentary Pepsi , water and crisps every morning in your fridge. Gave you a great head start for water during the day. The breakfast was so tasty and the coffee was great. I ate my weight in pastries every morning! The rooftop bar for cocktails at night was phenomenal such a lovely atmosphere and the bar staff were great. I honestly cannot fault our hotel at all. They kept our bags stashed for us after check out as we had all day to go until our flight at night ( they did not charge us for this). It’s close to loads of lovely restaurants and shops and close to the tourist sites. Right next to a stop for their hop on hop off buses to. Amazing hotel and great staff.

We stayed in the lovely Hotel Diana Roof Garden for 7 nights in September. We’re a family of 4 adults and had a double room and a twin room. Both rooms were nicely decorated with ensuite bathrooms, TV & phone, a safe, and a mini fridge refilled daily with water and snacks, plenty cupboard space and nice toiletries provided. The rooms were cleaned and towels were changed every day.
The situation of this hotel suited our needs perfectly. It is 5 minutes from the Termini Station and Metro links, great for connecting with sites further afield and day tripping as well as easy to reach from either airport. There are loads of nice places to eat and drink nearby. It’s also an easy walk down either the Via Cavour or the Via Nazionale or across the Via delle Quattro Fontane to most of the big “must do” sites, and the historic centre.
The hotel boasts a lovely roof terrace with a bar and where you can take your breakfast or enjoy an evening cocktail or meal. The breakfast is fabulous. Great choice of hot and cold food served buffet style. Lovely cheese and meats, eggs, sausages, choice of bread, salads, delicious pastries and cakes, cereals and yoghurt, fresh fruit and juice, coffee and tea.
This was our 4th visit to Rome and I’m sure it won’t be the last, but this is the first time we can say, we’d definitely return to this hotel.

We have just got back from spending 4 nights visiting Rome. We are a family of 3, We had room 432, which was a double room with an extra sofa bed. My 11 year old daughter had the sofa bed and was very comfortable on there, in fact we had to wake her up every morning or she would have slept all day :-) Our bed was huge and was very comfortable with a very firm mattress. The air conditioning in the room was a lovely relief after a day exploring in 37c heat. The free mini bar was restocked everyday with bottles of water, some cans of Coke and some crisps. Our daughter is a type one diabetic and we stored some of her medication in the fridge and it kept it nice and cool. We had lots of fresh fluffy towels everyday and all the mini products in the bathroom were restocked daily. Breakfast was very tasty and fresh and the roof top bar was perfect for a cocktail or two in the evenings. We don’t normally write reviews but we have to give a big thank you to Daniella on reception for helping us sort out a problem with our transfer (no thanks to Loveholidays!) Daniella went above and beyond for us and we were able to enjoy the rest of our holiday without any worries. All the staff were so friendly from the cleaners to the bar staff. We will definitely be coming back.

We spent 4 nights in room 217 in mid-April. The hotel is very well located, less than 10 minutes walk from the station, 15 or 20 max from the Coliseum, the Fountain...The welcome was very good, the room was clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly. The room service was also decent, as was the breakfast. As I am very sensitive to noise, there is indeed, as in all cities, garbage collection which is done early in the morning, it is really nothing annoying. Our room did not have the old dirty carpet on the floor...that we find in many hotels, but a laminate covering. The windows were new. The street is not very busy. The price is reasonable and if I have to return to Rome one day, it is quite possible that it will also be in this hotel.

The hotel is decent and in a very busy location, easy to get to from Roma Termini station. Staff and n reception very helpful and polite and helped us with some enquiries. The down side was breakfast was very basic and repetitive. The worst thing in the hotel was the prices at the hotel bar for example on our visit a pint of beer and a vodka & coke total for this €22.50 way to expensive. We were told the room mini bar was free, it contained 2 bottles of water and 1 can of Pepsi and a packet of crisps. Also be aware that Rome now charges €7.50 per person night in city tax. Overall a good nights sleep in a good location for tourist spots, shame about the bar prices never ate in the restaurant so cannot comment on that.

My travel agent picked this hotel for me and I was able to check-in early. The hotel was less than a 10 minute walk to Termini which made it easy to jump on a bus to the Historic Center or join a tour group taking the train to the Amalfi Coast. I walked to the Colosseum from the hotel and back. There are many shops and cafes nearby, but I only visited Humana Vintage and a street stall where I bought a cheap backpack with a strap that ripped off the first time I packed it lol. The staff were very pleasant and I was even escorted by the housekeeping manager to my room. The room was small but provided everything I needed just watch you don't spray water everywhere with the shower head like I did. The breakfast was plentiful but you will want to go early because the room fills fast.
