My wife and I enjoyed a lovely weekend break in Rome. The Diana is well located close to Termini station and within walking distance of the centre of Rome. The Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps are 20 minutes walk. The hotel has an old fashioned feel. The rooms are comfortable but not spectacular. The highlight is the roof garden....

I chose the Hotel Diana based on the location proximity for the termini/sites and the roof garden.....whilst the rooms are quite dated and minimal they provide everything you need for a great stay, including a mini bar to put drinks and snacks in from many of the nearby mini markets for after your afternoon siesta. We were in the 6th...

We would have had an average stay if wasn't for a fantastic waiter working at the roof garden. He gave excellent service and made us feel like we were the only ones there. Our room was an average size double, very clean and adequate for our three night stay. If you stay here be sure to have a meal at...

We spent Mon-Fri at this hotel where we found the staff helpful and the hotel clean and comfortable. It is a good location for all the sights as well as five minutes walk from the train station so easy access from the airport. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Our room was comfortable and always kept clean, the fridge restocked...

My husband and I stayed here for four days of our honeymoon (travel agent booking). We arrived around 11:00 p.m. due to an unexpected ten-hour layover. Exhausted, were welcomed by less than polite front desk staff. They really acted like we were an inconvenience the entire time we were there (wouldn't suggest places to eat, couldn't give directions to a...

Dear Client, is sad for us to hear that, especially about the bad impression on our reception staff. We hope that you would recosider your position and come back on your aniversary for a more pleasant experience. You're right, cips and nuts doesn't come along with the wine, usually ham and cheese come with the wine. Actually something were wrong...

Just returned from a week at Diana Roof Garden We were in room 104 which is nothing like the pictures on the website. The room was small and the bathroom tired with a shower that leaked everywhere. Rome itself was fantastic but the senior staff at the hotel were rude and on one occasion was told the rooftop bar was...

The location was really good for getting around Rome. Our check-in was a little iffy as they couldn't seem to find the reservation we made on Expedia. The rooms were totally fine. Even big by European standards. After checking in, we went to the rooftop restaurant where we ordered a bottle of wine. The waiter brought a different wine and...

Second time at the hotel Diana and another wonderful stay. We had a triple room which was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing. The breakfast was lovely and it was wonderful to eat out on the roof garden and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Rome is a magnificent city and this hotel is...

Good location. Near metro station and bus stop for airport very near by. Good choice of food for breakfast and was re-stocked as food ran out. Rooms were spotless and staff were excellent. Very helpful.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
