We spent a few nights at the Hotel Virgilio. Despite its location off the main street the hotel itself was very nice. Friendly front desk. Good breakfast with a lot of options. Excellent dining opportunities near the hotel. Most importantly major attractions such as the...More
Went as a couple to Rome for Long weekend. The Virgilio is in a great central location 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. Breakfast is buffet style but plenty of it and a good choice. Our room was small but perfectly...More
When we booked Virgilio for two nights prior to returning to Rome from a five day trip to Cinque Terre we asked for a quiet room with two twin beds somewhere in the back of the hotel. What we got instead when we arrived was...More
Great location (near Termini and for exploring Rome by foot), very helpful and friendly staff, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable, breakfast ok.
I will come here again for sure.
Good value for money.
The place has it's highlights for location. Almost all the places of interest are located within 10-15min walking from the hotel. The staff at the reception were very friendly and supportive. The breakfast absolutely decent. The room, double economy, a tad too small. Toilet doors...More
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at
Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.

The nearest bus stop to the hotel is 700 m walk. so if you have much luggage it won't be easy to go walking. First, you can take either train or shuttle bus from the airport to Roma Termini train station.Or you can walk to the airport train station to take a train to Roma Termini station which will take 30 min only. I don't recommend that you take Limousine from airport to Roma Termini station as they only accept cash and they tell you a price at first to pick up you then when you reach your destination they change it. If you'd like to use a taxi you can choose either Uber or mytaxi. Italians said that mytaxi are cheaper than Uber and also you can pay online from your credit card don't need cash. Please let me know if you need further help.
