We stayed here pre- and post-cruise and couldn't have been happier. The location is great for being close to local restaurants and tourist attractions. The front desk staff always had great recommendations for restaurants and provided maps and directions to get to any attraction we wanted to see. The rooms were comfortable and well kept. Breakfast was included and the rooftop deck bar is a must see.
This hotel is a perfect location and such a lovely hotel. From the moment we checked in the staff where amazing and the man on reception was so friendly and gave us advice on places to eat how to get to landmarks etc. Each night they gave us warm milk for our baby and the staff were so friendly making a fuss of him each morning at breakfast. The roof top bar has an amazing view. Would definitely stay here again. Great location, great staff and great breakfast
We were very happy with our stay at the Hotel Colosseum. It was very well located between the rail station and the Cavour Metro, within easy walking distance of the Colosseum itself, and lots of good bars and restaurants. We were lucky to have a room with a terrace on the 2nd floor, so could sit out and enjoy the sunshine in total privacy. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We recommend this hotel, and would stay there again when visiting Rome.
Walkable location and clean, comfortable place to stay in Rome. Breakfast was included and offered a little bit of everything. Close to train and bus station (10 min. walk). We felt very safe in this quiet neighborhood. Walkable to all the main attractions. So nice to wrap up each day on the roof top deck bar. Price was mid 100's for early May.
I stayed here with my girlfriend for our city break in May and the hotel was really well located for our trips to and from Roma Termini station as well as the Colosseum and Forum. I’d have no problem staying at this hotel again. The staff were really amenable and have even arranged to post an item of clothing we forgot back to the UK too.
Beautiful quite hotel right in the middle of everything you need. Roof top bar is brilliant and can see most monuments ( colosseum) from there. Rooms are very clean and the staff are very helpful, breakfast is great. Would 100% go back there
We recently traveled to Rome with our 3 adult children (early 20s) and found the Hotel Colosseum on the internet while planning our trip. The staff was immediately responsive to all email inquiries about the property, amenities, and coordination of activities for which we sought assistance. Upon arrival in the early afternoon, our rooms were ready before the check-in time and the staff continued to be helpful with whatever questions we had - restaurant recommendations, taxi and other transportation needs, money exchange, Covid travel testing, etc. The front desk was staffed 24 hours a day. The location was relatively close to the train station and a variety of attractions and provided easy access but was not on a main thoroughfare so remained quiet. We had two rooms and the triple room, a rare find, was a perfect option for our family. North Americans may find the rooms and bathrooms small but they are ample by European standards. The on-site breakfast provided a variety of tasty options and great convenience. This hotel is small but clean and had everything we needed. It was a good value for the amenities and services.…
Really it was perfect couldnt fault any part of hotel or staff, we was very happy. Location to the collisium, which is what we needed was supurb and nightime stroll to the monti area was very relaxed , and only a few hundred metres.
The hotel was a small, friendly and centrally located and, considering it was in the middle of Rome, it was especially quiet as well as a short walk to the Colosseum, Forum and the train/bus/metro termini. The rooftop terrace bar was an added bonus. All the staff were courteous and helpful especially Daniola on Reception who went out of his way to help us with booking of attractions. Rooms were clean and functional and I found the bed comfortable (unusual for me). A great shower too. I would highly recommend.
The Colosseum Hotel is ideally positioned close to the main train station in a quiet side street, with easy access to buses, metro and trams. In the surrounding area there are plenty of decent restaurants and shops. The hotel reception is manned 24/7 and we must thank Diego in particular for being hugely helpful in giving advice, recommending places of interest and booking airport transfers and tickets for tourist destinations. Wi-Fi in the hotel is good. The breakfast was buffet style and very good, with hot food, cold meats and cheese, cereals, yoghurts, fruit, various pastries etc. the room we had was smallish, but perfectly adequate, with a good en suite shower room, TV (Italian stations only), electric shutters on the windows and free safe. Tea and coffee is provided in the room, but no milk. There is a lift to all floors except to the roof, where the rooftop terrace is popular with guests taking in the view (you can see the Colosseum and other landmarks) and enjoy a drink from the small rooftop bar. Overall, we were completely happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you.…
