We have just returned from this hotel following a 3 night break to Rome. Myself and my husband stayed at this hotel after much researching and deliberation - and it sure paid off! This hotel is a short drive from Rome Ciampino airport (40-50 euros in private taxi), the taxi dropped us right outside the hotel - which is literally...

We only had one night in Rome after our cruise finished here and we decided to stay at the hotel pantheon because of its location. Absolutely perfect for site seeing! The only negative (which is not the hotels fault!) is that it is on a very busy street so at night it was extremely noisy (until 1am on a Sat...

I decided to select Hotel Pantheon, surprised that it was now available having been unable to book it earlier, believing everything woul be perfect having stayed their before several times a...

3 nites in a standard room cost $1K, pricey for the quality of room and services. Internet in room non-existent. However location is great, right by the Pantheon and plenty of restaurants and actvity.

The Pantheon Hotel is small, with a friendly and efficient staff, located in the heart of Rome's historical centre, within walking distance from much of the city. Yet it is quiet. The rooms are spacious.

Perfect Location just next to the Pantheon, easy to walk to all the attractions in Rome from here. Yet quiet and the hotel itself was lovely. The staff were very friendly and spoke good english. Our rooms were very pleasant and the beds comfortable, we couldn't have been happier. The breakfast is served downstairs.

A party of 6 (3 couples) stayed here for 4 nights in September 2014 and we couldn't have been happier. The hotel is quite small but has a lovely feel to it. Perfect Location right in the middle of the action , yet quiet and nicely appointed rooms, staff was very attentive and courteous, the breakfast bar was very good ,The only change I would make is the music piped in at the breakfast, as they would say " The 70's called and want their music back". Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pantheon is located in an elegant eighteenth-century building in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, in peaceful surroundings, characteristic of an old pedestrian street. The interior of this small but luxurious Rome hotel is well-cared for down to the finest detail, embellished with special, unique details such as the Liberty-style staircase in wrought iron, the wooden-clad walls, the ceilings with old wooden beams, the Roman terracotta floors, the artistic windows and the trompe-l'oeils decorations on the hall walls. The breakfast room is a charming place, thanks to the light of the Carrara marble and the dome ceiling painted with sky-colored trompe-l'oeil. Intimate and friendly, the Hotel Pantheon offers a relaxing stay for its guests, also thinking of their well-being with their range of high quality, personalized services such as ticket booking for shows and exhibitions, guided tours of Rome and the surrounding area, suggestions on itineraries and places that must be seen and the plentiful hot or cold buffet breakfast. ... more   less

“Top floor with balcony”
of 5 bubbles behimili, 1 Nov 2016 | Read review
“We were given room 401 (lifts go up to floor 3 so a few steps to negotiate to access the annex part of this hotel. ) which accommodated the sofa bed for the 3rd person in the space with a window. The 2 twin beds was in linked but closed space with no windows so if you are a bit claustraphobic request a room where you can see a window. The TV is bolted onto the wall of this closed space which we did not turn on (no English channels and if the TV speaker arial in the other space accidentally touched the steel tray which supported the kettle etc the speakers made a loud buzzing noise). Shower is a sit down plastic spa affair which is a bit fiddly with the plastic knobs coming loose when adjusting. The seat takes up space so if you are of a larger size and you don't want to sit when showering you will not get in; think size of economy airplane toilet. Cannot comment if other rooms are better but the doors on the left of lifts where adorned with pictures whereas the doors to the right did not.”
