We are in our 50's and stayed at this 16 room hotel during the past summer. While most of the staff was very pleasant and the location excellent...the manager, Roberto, was shameful. Our five night reservation included one night with the air conditioner completely broken. The room temperature approached 90° F during this one summer night. We went to the...

As the name suggests, Hotel Pantheon is a stones throw from the Pantheon- an excellent base to explore Rome and is within easy walking distance to many sights. Although we had a bedroom at the front of the hotel we were on the second floor and didn't find it too noisy, but then we didn't go to bed until after...

The hotel 'overbooked' and we were moved to another hotel (2/3* at best) 30 minutes walk away in an unpleasant area. This meant public transport everywhere rather than walking as planned. Despite the supposed upgrade at the substitute hotel there was no natural light, awful breakfast and an all-round average room. The story as to why the hotel was overbooked...

We (group of 10 people) had a fantastic experience at the Hotel Pantheon. This is my 4th trip to Roma and my first at this hotel. The front desk staff made reservations for us at 3 restaurants the nights we were there. They always greeted us with a smile and were helpful with our daily adventures outside of the hotel....

We ended up at Hotel Pantheon because we were scammed by another property across the street. The front desk staff were very helpful and gave us rooms at a very reasonable rates considering what we had just been thru at the other property. The rooms were lovely, bathrooms very spacious, staff was excellent and the breakfast was great! We will...

The rooms felt cramped, the breakfast area even worse (it was a small area underground)...the staff at the reception were nice and friendly and the location undoubtedly good, but not sure of the price premium was worth it. All in all, think are explore other options a bit more before booking thus hotel

Literally a 20 second walk from the Pantheon we couldn't have picked a better location to see the main sights of Rome. The reception staff were all very warm and welcoming and happy to assist and a great help when trying to navigate the city. Our room (105) was dated but well maintained and homely. It was spotlessly cleaned every...

My family and I recently stayed at the Hotel Pantheon. The location is perfect and the staff very welcoming and helpful. It's on a side street a stones throw from the Pantheon and within walking distance to most top attractions. You step out and small shops and restaurants line the street. We overlooked the street but noise was minimal. Would...

This was the perfect hotel for a romantic break! Good value, authentic, charming with a yummy breakfast. We went near Christmas and the decorations were so pretty. But the selling point - this hotel is in the BEST location. What a find!

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pantheon is located in an elegant eighteenth-century building in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, in peaceful surroundings, characteristic of an old pedestrian street. The interior of this small but luxurious Rome hotel is well-cared for down to the finest detail, embellished with special, unique details such as the Liberty-style staircase in wrought iron, the wooden-clad walls, the ceilings with old wooden beams, the Roman terracotta floors, the artistic windows and the trompe-l'oeils decorations on the hall walls. The breakfast room is a charming place, thanks to the light of the Carrara marble and the dome ceiling painted with sky-colored trompe-l'oeil. Intimate and friendly, the Hotel Pantheon offers a relaxing stay for its guests, also thinking of their well-being with their range of high quality, personalized services such as ticket booking for shows and exhibitions, guided tours of Rome and the surrounding area, suggestions on itineraries and places that must be seen and the plentiful hot or cold buffet breakfast. ... more   less

“We were given room 401 (lifts go up to floor 3 so a few steps to negotiate to access the annex part of this hotel. ) which accommodated the sofa bed for the 3rd person in the space with a window. The 2 twin beds was in linked but closed space with no windows so if you are a bit claustraphobic request a room where you can see a window. The TV is bolted onto the wall of this closed space which we did not turn on (no English channels and if the TV speaker arial in the other space accidentally touched the steel tray which supported the kettle etc the speakers made a loud buzzing noise). Shower is a sit down plastic spa affair which is a bit fiddly with the plastic knobs coming loose when adjusting. The seat takes up space so if you are of a larger size and you don't want to sit when showering you will not get in; think size of economy airplane toilet. Cannot comment if other rooms are better but the doors on the left of lifts where adorned with pictures whereas the doors to the right did not.”
