We unfortunately booked and stayed 4 awful nights here. It is advertised as 'retro' but is actually old and tired, as well as being quite grubby. It is centrally located but so are some other 100 hotels. There is no AC here as it is switched off and the suggestion that it is a 4 star hotel is laughable. The staff...

We never stayed here, when we walked in we were hit by a smell that was not very nice. The hotel is tired and requires an update. Massive update. The room was not as described, bathroom was dirty and again very tired. There was someone's hair on and in the bed. We checked out and booked in with another 4...

Located near Santa Maria Maggiore which is 15 mins walk from Colosseum and 10 mins walk to Termini this was a great location for me! Since I took a single room this review is based only on single rooms and not applicable for standard rooms! Room was ok but bathroom was quite small and not convenient! Shower was little weird...

This hotel is in the perfect place as a base for seeing the sights of Rome. The hotel was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Linen was changed every day and the staff were very friendly and helpful. On the downside it could have done with a bar to sit and relax after a hard day walking the streets of this...

What great value, and such lovely, helpful people. Our room (504) was large, with desk and chair, windows opening onto the inner courtyard, which kept it peaceful, and temperature-controlled heating. The latter was a little warm for us, and the added air-conditioning scent a little overpowering, but it was easily turned off, and the windows opened fully. Lovely bathroom too,...

As others have said its close to the main train station, not noisy but it is slightly old looking inside........we had a fairly cramped double room not much space to get ready around the bed, small shower room, no ironing facilities and the reception couldn't give out irons for health and safety and it was quite a significant charge for...

The staff are lovely and helpful. The room has an old antique furniture look and we had comfortable quiet nights. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room if you are (like me) looking to have a cuppa in your room but there is a tea & coffee vending machine in the ground floor lobby. FYI: the vending machine...

This hotel is located near the Rome's main train station. It's very easy to get to other attractions from here. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean and everything was in working order. Wifi was OK. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again if I go back to Rome.

the hotel in itself is nice enough, spacious room. Breakfast : ample choice. But one advice : never keep any money in your room , I stashed some money in a zippered compartment of my travelling bag, the following morning I wanted to take something else out of the bag and I noticed that more than half of the money...

Just returned from Rome and choosing this hotel was the best thing I have done for this trip. Location next to non; 3 min walk to main transportation hub, walking distance to many attractions, view of the church Santa Maria di Maggiore; and, full breakfast buffet included in the price. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, clean bathrooms, fresh plush towels...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
