We picked this hotel sight unseen since our friends were staying in a nearby hotel that had sold out. We were pleasantly surprised at our experience. The room was comfortable and they offered a great free breakfast in the morning. The only downside was no air conditioning. Our room got hot during the day and we had to open windows...

Good hotel with lovely surroundings. Staff helpful. Rooms are good value for money. Nothing too special. Great location close to good restaurants and bars and public transportation. Good breakfast. Will recommend it for a short stay.

stopped here last weekend for three nights on family visit to Rome for daughters twenty first. arrived just after lunch and although room not ready left our luggage while we got our bearings. Made to feel welcome by reception staff you told us to come back in an hour and they gave us some directions to a nearby sandwich shop....

Hotel Nord Nuova Roma is a short walk from the Rome Train Station (Roma Termini) which is also a Metro stop. There are some historical sites within a couple of minutes of the hotel. The hotel itself is old, but it is very popular with tour groups so there is always a lot of activity at the front desk at...

Stayed here for a week with a 7 year old (this was my son's first time in Rome), which meant lots of exploring in town and taking trains for day trips to Pompeii and Castelli Romani. Perfect location for getting in / out of / around town as literally a 5 min walk from Termini (Don't forget to stop over...

I've stayed at my fair share of hotels - from 3 to 5 stars, and I can definitely say that the quality of this hotel is more than 3! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here (second time in Rome) and would definitely come back to Hotel Nord. -Excellent location - 5 min walk from Termini (you will need to get...

Great little hotel in the middle of Rome, well positioned near Termini station which is convenient for the airport shuttle buses. The hop on hop off sight seeing buses start their tour just across the road. The hotel is lovely clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful, The breakfast offers a wide selection and is fresh and tasty, the...

The hotel is just a five minute walk form Termini Station which is a plus as Rome is a city that just demands you walk and walk, so being able to catch the metro home after a long day is definitely a plus. Overall the hotel is really good and has been refurbished in most parts. However, the newer rooms...

We stayed at the Nord Nuova Roma in March 2017 as part of a Jet2 long weekend break. Check-in was a painless process: the staff were welcoming and efficient. Room 344 was a not large but more than sufficient to hold a large double bed and storage furniture. A kettle with tea/coffee was provided - a pleasant surprise, because we...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
