I chose this hotel for its location. I only had one night in Rome. Hotel was in good walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and Colloseum (ruins, etc). Room had view of the piazza and was very nice. Beautiful views from the rooftop. Bartender recommended a restaurant right around the corner as we were exhausted from sightseeing all day....

This is my standard hotel in Rome, it is a home away from home! Firstly the location is excellent, everything is within walking distance and easy. Stroll the streets, shop, drink wine, eat gelato. Secondly the breakfast on the rooftop terrace is the best thing with being in Rome because you feel that you are at the heart of Rome....

Excellent location within five minute walk to the Trevi fountain or the Pantheon. A 10 minute walk to Piazza Novona & 20 minute walk to the Colosseum or 1/2 hour walk to the Vatican City. Across from the Parliament building. Expect a different demonstration/protest group each day w/sufficient Armed Forces protection. Clean Antiquated building & rooms. Reception staff are very...

If you plan to go to Rome DO NOT stay at this hotel. It is nearly impossible to get to by rental car as security measures in the area have blocked off the route recommended by GPS. Taxi or private car is best. The front desk lady was very rude and could care less about our problems and acted like...

Stayed here for a 3 night break March/ April 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is directly opposite the Parliament building in the centre of the city with a great view of this from the bedrooms at the front of the hotel. We received a very warm, friendly but efficient greeting at Reception and were swiftly provided access to...

Five minutes walk to Trevi Fountain or the Pantheon, within 10 minutes of the Piazza Navona, 20 to the Colosseum or a half hour stroll to Vatican City. The neighborhood is dripping in both tourist hospitality and contemporary local culture courtesy of parliamentary buildings opposite. Expect a different protest group each day - but well-ordered with requisite armed police nearby....

The hotel is right in the heart of Rome which makes it a perfect location from which to explore the city on foot. The room was spacious with high ceilings but very hot (temperature is controlled centrally in the hotel). The room was on the first floor and quite noisy so it really would have benefitted from double glazing on...

The room is very comfortable and the hotel provides slippers and toiletteries. Breakfast is served on a terrace with a great vew. The hotel is located on a piazza, and it is very calm at night, which is great for a good night sleep. It is also close to one important street, and walking distance to some turistc attractions such...

We stayed here late last year and loved it! The location is incredible- walking distance from sites such as the Trevi Fountain, cute cafes, and shops. The staff was very gracious, the room was clean, and it was quiet enough to sleep in one morning!

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
