This is an expensive hotel with super location in the heart of it all in Rome. Old, somewhat worn but clean and friendly staff. The major issue is that going on business and staying here should be avoided, atleast if internet connection is important for you work. Can only be described as spotty and useless at best. To bad because...

Hotel is within walking distance to most of the popular sights, rooms spacious and very clean, great rooftop breakfast area and bar. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help you and make you stay enjoyable. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Recently had a 3 night stay here. The hotel is well placed outside the Italian Parliament building with easy access to most major sites in the city. Pleasant roof top terrace for breakfast but need to be an early bird to get a table outside. Breakfast was very well presented with plenty of choice. Bedrooms very clean and comfortable. Definitely...

The hotel was in a fantastic location with the trevi fountains and the pantheon minutes walk away. At night it is cut off and you have to ask a security guard who is guarding the parliament building if you can pass. Breakfast was fantastic and was easy to find a table on the roof terrace - continental breakfast such as...

Really great older style hotel. Like all hotels in the old part of a European city, the rooms are comfy, power points are few, bathrooms are small. The terrace breakfast is perfect, the staff ever helpful. Love it. Location is perfect, half way between Tevi and Pantheon so a walk to everything

The hotel is located in a great position for the key attractions in Rome. Trevi fountain and Pantheon within 10 minutes walk of the hotel with Colosseum a few minutes further. We also walked to Vatican in less than 30 minutes. Hotel is comfortable without being over elaborate. Nice rooftop terrace for breakfast and early evening drink before walking out...

Knowing that Colonna Palace is a 4 star accommodation, we would have expected MUCH higher standards! For example: breakfast is sober and always the same, the bathroom contains basic needs but nothing more (e.g. you don't want to climb into the bathtub for having a shower), the hotel bar (service) is VERY basic, the room furniture (and other hotel furniture)...

Hotel was very convenient to all major sites. We stayed on the backside of the hotel and had lots of late night noise and early morning garbage cleanup noise. We had elevator issues and found some of the staff to be helpful.

I chose this hotel for its location. I only had one night in Rome. Hotel was in good walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and Colloseum (ruins, etc). Room had view of the piazza and was very nice. Beautiful views from the rooftop. Bartender recommended a restaurant right around the corner as we were exhausted from sightseeing all day....

This is my standard hotel in Rome, it is a home away from home! Firstly the location is excellent, everything is within walking distance and easy. Stroll the streets, shop, drink wine, eat gelato. Secondly the breakfast on the rooftop terrace is the best thing with being in Rome because you feel that you are at the heart of Rome....

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
